Thought samsung magician 4.8 update will support window 10, so brought 850 ssd. But Samsung data migration software (not magician) failed to recognize ssd. I searched google, find same issue with window 10 exist for some time now. Update: for data migration to work with window 10, need to update to version 3. Will raise overall experience to 3 stars.

Great drive. 4-star rating because it doesnt provide Mac OS X support out of the box --you have to get there indirectly. Bought this to help speed up my daughters 2011 Mac Book Pro 13inch as it had gotten a slower with the latest Mac OX releases (Yosemite, now El Capitan). Want to thank @Nathaniel Acevedo for his review and all of his details on how he had got the drive working with his MacBook Pro up and running with this drive. His info was invaluable and my daughter MacBook wouldnt be working without his review comments. For those considering using this drive with Mac OS El Capitan, for some reason the Partition function with OS X Disk Utility is now greyed out. After doing some googling. I had to use a PC laptop to initialize the drive as GUID Partition Table (used a freeware PC tool called AOMEI Partition Assistant). After initializing the drive as GPT, I then took it to the El Capitan based Mac Book Pro, and voila, it was recognized. I then used the Erase feature in Disk Utility to format the drive as per @Nathantiels comments. BTW, using Carbon Copy to clone the disk was easy and intuitive, and it worked without a hitch! Just swapped out the original Hitachi drive with the Samsung, and up and running now. I immediately noticed that startup and launching of apps is some much faster (...no spinning icons while the Mac thinks about it..). Very happy with this product. Now to get my 2009 MacBook updated (...used my daughters Mac as the guinea pig)

I had an old 128GB SSD that I was using in my PC along with a 2TB WD Black Drive for my games and videos that I edit for my YouTube channel. However after awhile my computer started having issues and I had no idea what was wrong. Turns out that after by this roomier SSD, it not only sped things up again, but it gives me more room to edit more things overall. I must say that this SSD is nicely designed and the performance is insanely good. I highly recommend this product!

Good quick - made my computer very fast. Must download and plan to install Samsung Magician. If you can get Minitool Partition, use its wizard Migrate OS to SSD/HD.

Great value, does what it is supposed to. No problem installing or transferring data. Upgraded from a smaller drive, everything worked and the whole drive was visible and available after the switch.

WOW. The software that come with this drive shocked me. It transferred all my data in perfect condition in less than 30 minutes. I had 355gigs to transfer. Unbelievable!!! The drive was simple to install if you can follow a simple cartoon drawing. Windows 10 loads in 15 seconds. No more waiting 10 minutes for the computer to get up to speed. 15 seconds!

Great drive, pretty fast and plenty of room for just about anything. Im using it as a main system drive, while the spin disk drives 2tb+ are used for storage. Was easy to setup and no problems yet.
