> 3 dayI absolutely love this thing. Went from a 5-10 minute Windows startup boot (from complete shutdown) to a 15 second completed startup boot. Read/write speeds are super fast, and its COMPLETELY worth the investment.

> 3 daythis REALLY sped up my MacBook Pro that we bought in 2008. Everything has slowed down, including web browsers. This made all the difference.

> 3 dayThis was an excellent addition to my PS4. Took witcher 3 fast travel from a painful experience to about 3 seconds. There are lots of other small improvements but nothing was as dramatic as the fast travel issue. The garbage collection that this drive has does work, so it doesnt slow down even though the PS4 lacks trim support. You can actually watch it change in your storage management screen as the drive is powered and its internal tools go to work. Time will tell if it does ultimately slow due to lack of trim, but it is easy enough to format it in a pc and start over so not a big problem...

23-11-2024The cost was satisfactory, and the cloning software was quick and almost shockingly painless. I was expecting all sorts of hoops to jump through, and tons of shovelware, but Samsung doesnt even expect you to install the cloning tool on the SSD. As for performance, all the games in my steam library now load exactly as fast as Id hoped. Additionally, my laptop doesnt heat up as badly under intense gaming sessions, which attests to the lower power consumption.

> 3 dayThis drive made a huge difference to my laptop, shortening boot time by a minute. Applications now open in a couple of seconds and the whole machine feels snappier. Huge improvement.

> 3 dayOne word: Wow! I have a HP 250 G5 with an i5 processor. I had upgraded it from 4gb to 12gb of RAM, and that made some differenece. Then I even bought a SSHD for it, to see if there was any improvement, no such luck. I finally gave in and bought a 500gb EVO 850. Installation was frustrating, had to work with the HP bios some and just do a fresh install of Windows. Granted, there were a few very fruatrating hours, once it was set up, it was worth every frustrating second! Boot times are crazy, anti virus and ccleaner take under 15 seconds to do a scan(while before it would be over a minute). Im very pleased and will make getting a SSD my first upgrade for every computer here on forward.

Greater than one weekBelieve it or not but this SSD actually seems to perform Slower than the Crucial M500 SSD that I replaced it with. I wasnt expecting much improvement over the crucial as I bought it mostly for the doubled capacity, but it truly seems to perform a little slower in real life. Its not a big deal, but I guess most of the Great reviews here are from people upgrading from a HDD to a SSD, and in that case the performance jump is simply amazing!!!! Adding a SSD such as this is hands down to BEST possible upgrade you can do to ANY older computer that is still using a HDD !!!!!

> 3 dayThis made a night/day difference in my Mid-2013 Macbook Pro 13inch laptop. It was very easy to install and made a huge performance increase. For those of you that hate that white loading screen when waking the computer form sleep, this solves that problem. While I still sometimes get that screen it only takes seconds before it goes away. Also I purchased an external hard drive enclosure to put the old hard drive in because I use it as a backup.

> 3 dayPurchased for Lenovo laptop. Very simple installation and data migration. Sabrent HDD converter (see http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DQJME7Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) made migrating the HDD data/OS to SSD extremely simple with Samsung software supplied. Machine is now very fast, quick boot, access, etc. Would purchase again.
