SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM)

I have two 840s and this 850, and so far I am wildly pleased with them. I could not believe how easily they mounted, and how much quicker are boot-up, shut-down, and opening programs. I only hope that their durability matches their performance so far. Just make sure the ssd is aligned properly when partitioning it. The included software might do this, or you can download the free AOMEI Partition Assistant.

Brought my laptop from a serious pain to use, to booting in less than 11 seconds. Samsung also bundles a great tool to clone data so you dont lose anything. Let the age of Solid State Drives begin!

Put this in my 2007 MacBook Pro. Worked perfectly right away. Formatted it for 1 partition and after the initial install I was left with 499.25 GB out of 500. Laptop is much faster than before. I highly recommend this SSD.

This ssd drive came factory frozen which made it a HUGE pain in the *** getting it to work (had to transfer the data from my old hard drive back and forth through multiple drives), so I cant give this product 5 stars. Once I got it working, it was exactly what I needed.

Installed this in my 2009 15 MBP. I had read various things about software updates being needed, drivers, etc... That wasnt the case at all. I bought an external attachment, cloned my drive to this and then installed it in my MBP. It was amazingly easy and all plug-and-play. Very happy with the improved speed and, maybe Im imagining it, but it seems the battery life is better too. When you take it out of the box, its so light that youll think THATS what I paid this much for?!? But its been perfect.

Ordered on Thursday, received and installed on Saturday. What a difference! Much faster boot times and program starts. I run two VMs on top of my base OS and this has greatly enhanced the performance of my laptop. This was a great investment!

Before I did this upgrade it would take about 5 to 10 minutes for my computer to boot up. I now boots up in 20 to 30 seconds. The day I decided to make the change it took 45 minutes to boot up. I tried the included Samsung migration software twice and I kept getting an error defragmenting the disk. After doing some research I decided to try the Apricorn EZ Gig free cloning software. It worked the first time. Everything is working much faster and I am very happy that I made this upgrade. I used the Samsung Magician software today now that the drive is in my laptop. Everything has checked out great and I have optimized the drive for my needs.

This is an amazing SSD drive. I upgraded the hard drive for my 2010 macbook pro to this SSD. It makes my macbook feel like it is brand new again; I cannot believe why I waited so long. Boot up time has improved considerably as well as opening up files and documents. I was able to install Yosemite onto it soon after plugging in this SSD. Overall this drive was easy to install into my macbook pro.

Used it on MacBook Pro 2011. Easy installation and mounting. Computers runs like new.

my computer was as slow as molasses, I purchased this SSD to help it out and Im so glad I did, everything is moving faster than the laptop when it was new. I highly recommend this drive.
