Greater than one weekSo far, so good. The drive performs as advertised and hasnt slowed down since I purchased it a few months ago for OSX. I just bought another one to run Windows 8.1 (and soon 10) on and Im hoping for even faster speeds due to Samsungs Windows-only tech they advertise. SATA III solid state drives are for the most part saturating the interface so the only possible way I could get better performance would be with a different product. For the price and performance, I wont suggest a different brand of solid state drive to my friends and family because Samsung just figured it out with this one.

> 3 dayInstalled this into my 13 MacBook Pro (Early 2011) to replace the original drive. My MacBook was slowing down and memory (8gb) management was becoming a hassle. Slow boot-up, Apps were taking long to load, and it seemed like my computer was hesitating quite a bit. I was beginning to shop for a new Mac. I figured Id try and SSD and I am so glad I did. My MacBook is singing again. My boot up is less than 20 seconds! Apps open almost immediately. My internet is faster and for some reason my RAM is not being over taxed any longer. It is a joy to use this computer again! If you put this SSD in a Mac be sure and read up on it. There might be some hiccups. I have had none so far. Read up on using TRIM and educate yourself and save the help pages just in case you run into trouble after the install. I purchased a Sabrent enclosure from here on Amazon to put the SSD in while it was cloned. You dont need a new SATA cable or tray adapter for this Samsung if you are putting it in a MacBook Pro. It fits perfectly. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the drive. It was very simple. After Cloning my disk and making sure the clone was successful (boot from the SSD via USB by restarting and holding down the Option key), I installed it into my Macbook. OWC has some great instructional videos on how to install your new SSD. I also installed Disk Sensei which has Trim enabler built in. There are a lot of discussions on Trim. I am not an expert so I wont attempt to contribute to the argument. However, I am running Trim enabler and am not experiencing any problems. If your Macbook is slowing down give it a new life and get a Solid State Drive!

Greater than one weekA week of having the SSD over the original HDD in my 2011 MacBook Pro has convinced me that Ill get another 2-3 years of use out of my mac. I record my 5-piece band on my mac and the performance of this is stellar!

> 3 dayI used this to replace a sloooow 1 TB 5200 RPM conventional drive on a new laptop, i7 8GB RAM. Boot time went from 2 minutes to 10 seconds from start to the desktop. At 71 I dont have time to waste waiting for a computer to boot up. I highly recommend the Samsung SSD drives, having installed several. This one is no different.

> 3 dayIf you need a well-priced SSD drive, look no further. I bought a 840 EVO in the past and its been amazing for speeding up my system. When it came time to move my gaming library to a SSD, I found this drive for a very good price. It was picked up by my existing Samsung Magician software and optimized for performance. Definitely one of the better bundled software with computer hardware. I havent noticed any significant speed increase/decreases between the 840 EVO and 850 EVO, but Im also not clocking the read/write speed. In everyday use, its just as fast and reliable as the 840 EVO. Loading up games and getting into the action is quick and smooth. This drive doesnt affect system startup since its just being used for game storage. Overall, I will keep coming back to the Samsun EVO line of drives when I need more storage space.

> 3 dayWorked nicely with my Lenovo Thinkpad E430. This was my second time replacing the hard drive (first time I changed to an HDD), so recommendation to anyone with a laptop: change to an SSD and you thank yourself later. HDD simply are to slow for todays speeds. I used Segate DiscWizard to clone my old HDD in my laptop while connecting the new SSD to a
