> 3 dayPerformance is outstanding. I bought a 2015 27 5K iMac with the 7200rpm 1TB disk. Much to my shagrin the system was unbearably slow. Performed like an old klunker machine. I bought the 500GB Samsung and enclosed it in an external USB 3.0 case and plugged it in. I didnt want to open the machine to install the drive since its under warranty. Running as an external drive my system flies! Performance is fantastic and now I feel like its a new iMac. Like it so much I bought a 250GB and installed it in an old Macbook Pro that I have and thats now usable again! Woo hoo!!

Greater than one weekSolid SSD. Works fast and have had several over the last two years. Recommend any PC now you purchase to rip out that old spinner and put in a SSD. Works for both Mac and Windows. Doesnt matter what OS you put on it.

> 3 dayThis is an easy 5 stars. I wont go into big detail because nearly 10,000 people who reviewed this product already have. I have been using this for many months and its fantastic. Its a trusted brand with a massive highly reviewed following. Are there cheaper alternatives? Yes, but when you buy this you know its going to work.

> 3 dayInstalled into my early 2011 15 MacBook Pro one year ago and its going strong. Performance improved greatly. I even moved the original spindle drive into the superdrive bay for the extra storage on the slower SATA connection. It really extended the life of the Mac along with a memory upgrade.

> 3 dayThe included software made it super easy to clone. Just install the CD and follow the instructions. However, remember to format the SSD drive. There werent any instructions on how to do this, so I just looked it up online. Once software was installed and the drive was formatted, the cloning began. When the cloning was done, you swap the drives and its like I have a brand new computer. With previous hard drive, it took 4 minutes to boot up. With this SSD, it took 30 seconds. And programs start up very fast. Im glad I spent a little over $100 to buy this as opposed to $700+ for a new laptop. Also, dont forget to buy a cable to connect your drive to your computer for the cloning. Great product. Very happy with it.

> 3 dayPurchased this for my 2012 non-retina MacBook Pro that was a bit outdated. This 850 evo paired up with a 16gb ram upgrade from Macmemory made a world of difference on my MacBook. Highly recommend it!

Greater than one weekReplace all your old C: drives with this. Just clone it using the supplied software, and swap the drives. (You may have to make some BIOS changes to get all the speed increase, but even if you do not, it will be MUCH faster.) Since this drive is a little thinner than some mechanical laptop drives, put in a tiny piece of duct tape to take up the slack. (Just a sliver.) If you are replacing a larger 3.5 inch drive in a desktop workstation, you will need an inexpensive 2.5 to 3.5 hard disk converter. This is a small plastic box. Since the SSD is a clone of the original drive, the computer will boot up and not know the difference. Eventually it will load new drivers to match the EVO specs, unless you are using XP. Then you will need to load them manually since XP is not supported anymore. (XP is also leaving you exposed to lots of cyber risks - just sayin) Amazing what this does to speed up an older laptop!

> 3 dayEasy setup and fast super performance. Windows start, shutdown and programs run at great speed. Makes PC very quite. I have another system with EVO 1TB and its been reliable with zero issues after 1 year of usage.
