SAMSUNG (MZ-V7E500BW) 970 EVO SSD 500GB - M.2 NVMe Interface Internal Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology, Black/Red

This 500GB SSD from Samsung is very fast in the tests. I used it in my motherboard on my desktop in a PCIe expansion. It was at that point when I realized my computer only offered SATA II and not SATA III. The speed of this SSD tests out very fast using CrystalMark. And it definitely is faster than the 3.5 Hard Drive. However, the speed when communicating with the SATA SSD is not nearly as fast as the tests. Also, when transferring files via USB 3.0, it transfers files than the HDD does, but it is still limited by the speeds of the USB 3.0 and the speed by which the HDD can write.

I was shocked at how much fast than my ssdd this was. and price comparable too. I am just sad my other older builds dont offer nvm-e slots.... worth every penny.

Great product but seeing how i do not have all the extra stuff my motherboard came with any more i did not have the m.2 screw and standoff laying around so i had to wait an addition 2 days to install after i ordered that!

I need another one of these but they arnt free. Wicked fast though. And really freaking small. I have no cables ran now, so my install is all clean and minimalistic.

I had a feeling I was gonna like the 970 EVO after getting the 960 EVO to replace the mechanical hard drive in my gaming laptop. The boot times are out of this world fast and the system now with full SSDs on board runs a tad cooler than before by about -2°C to -4°C. I also have a ton of extra space for adding more creation tools and some games that wont fit on the 860 EVO so that is another win. I highly recommend this product!

I am going to assume this is an individual case and not the entire line, seeing through other reviews.

M.2 are so easy to install. I use this for my boot up

it feels a lot faster when opening things on my pc

Feels like I’m computing on 16 gb ram. (I’m only using 4 gb of ram.) Very smooth and quick, literally a few seconds to boot up laptop.
