Not that it’s just things fault but I would plan carefully for migration if you are going to move your operating system to this drive. I had trouble ended up having to basically wipe and reinstall everything even though there are tools to clone your OS.

The Samsung 970 EVO M.2 Is pretty good, but Im a little peeved that some bean counter figured they could save 2 cents by not giving you the mounting hardware. Now I have to pay an outrageous price for a little screw and standoff, not to mention having to wait for it to come. Seriously, I would have gladly paid 2 pennies more in order to save $8 bucks. Thats why they only get 4 stars. Just so you know, Asus didnt include the hardware with the motherboard either. So if you dont already have the mounting hardware get it with the M.2 drive and save yourself a headache.

    Greater than one week

Capacity as described, good for gaming and very easy to install. Much faster than its competitor. Also, the reason why I bought the product is because of the Samsung Magician SSD tool to monitor drive health, manage and protect data!

Awesome ssd. Cloned my existing drive using an encloser, then swapped the evo drive in my 2015 MacBook Pro with no issues. You do need the nvme adapter to make it work with a MacBook. Now I have a ton more space, was able to finally run updates, and it’s a ton faster.

I bought this after I returned adata xpg pro for my MacBook Pro 2014. I was getting very slow write speed. I ordered the Samsung evo 970 which I got yesterday and I installed it. Set up was easy. I am getting three times faster write speed of 1500 and 1600 of read speed. No issues with regards to sleep or restarting the device. I am very happy with Samsung.

So fast! The addition of this SSD vastly improved my loading times. Games do not lag whatsoever, now.

You can never go wrong with Samsung SSD. I have a Samsung SSD SATA since 2014, and it still works as advertised, so my #1 preference for M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSD for my Alienware 15 R4 was the Samsung EVO SSD. The PRO version would be nice, but since these SSDs are already ridiculously fast, the EVO version more than sufficient.
