SAMSUNG (MZ-V7E500BW) 970 EVO SSD 500GB - M.2 NVMe Interface Internal Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology, Black/Red

Bought this for my Dell g7 laptop. It had a SATA 128 GB ssd in the m.2 port and it was compatible with the faster NVMe so I got this bigger and faster one. Instalation was easy, but getting windows onto it was a little scary. I had my techy friend help me, and we were running the computer off of a USB to do a clean install of windows. Now that it is installed it works great. Noticibly faster on start up than the SATA ssd and much more space so I am happy

Wish I bought the 1tb awesome product. Download speed is faster and when in game I have lower ping.

setting up UEIF is a little difficult at first but watch a video or 2 and it will make sense on how to set it up

This the first time Ive used an NVMe drive, super fast boot time, like 5 seconds once past the POST screen. Also added additional 250 GB SSD for storage. Both Fast Fast Fast

I got rid of HDD drives. my old HDD used to load windows and sign me in at a total on 8.5 minutes.. now Im logged in and ready to roll in 32 seconds. Highly recommend!

This was so easy to install, one screw! My Windows 10 booted up in about 10 - 13 seconds! It is so fast! If you have a slot for this drive, get it. You wont believe how fast it is!

Love this thing. When from the fastest 2.5in hdd I could find for my laptop to this monster. Must better speeds and really reliable. Have had and used almost every day for over a month now and it’s been holding up great! Only thing is I would look up how to set up your bios to set this as a boot drive as that screwed my over when trying to install but that’s not Samsung’s fault. Other than that, on my slow old hdd, Samsung’s data migration software made about 3-4 hours work of 800gb on the old hdd! No issues with drivers yet and everything is easy to install! Looking forward to sustaining quick speeds!

So the drive works great, but I cant use it consistently because now I have to wait for a M.2 screw that fits my standoff to come in the mail. I thought i had all the screws from when i built my PC a year ago, but apparently, i did not or the screws i received were faulty and did not fit the M.2 Standoff. And now since Samsung cannot Afford to throw a few screws that cost less than 50 cents in the box i have a useless drive until the overpriced 5 dollars M.2 screw set comes in the mail.

Im rating this one star, but only for exposure to other people who have had mislabeled drives.
