Drive is awesome. It is my go-to travel storage device. Fast and very durable.

I initially had issues with this drive because my 2015 Macbook Pro cannot handle the usb 3.2 cable. I thought it was the ssd that was not working. But when I purchased a usb C to usb 3.0 cable it worked great. I purchased this cable: UGREEN USB C Cable 3.0 Fast Charging. for those that wanna know.

I need a new solid state drive to store my important documents and backup my data on my computer. It was very fast compared to a traditional hard drive. The main downside is that this drive is not shuckable. So in the event that the board that connects the drive dies you will not be able to recover your data or swap it to a different enclosure.

Samsung made rock-solid products. I dont think anyone can easily break it. A full metal enclosure will protect your important data.

I have many thousands of photos redundantly backed up on external hard drives. Theyre terrific but big and not realistically portable since they need to be plugged into the wall in addition to the computer. This little 1Tb SSD fits in my pocket and doesnt require external power. Its fast enough (1050MB/s) that I can easily do do complex edits straight from the drive. Very cool little device

I love tech and doing reviews like this so people can make a better decision before buying products. I have a YouTube and Facebook channel called OndaWire where I do all types of tech reviews. I buy and get products and then test them out for a couple of weeks and then give (from my experience using the product) my pros and cons on them. There is a lot here so lets jump right in and talk about this Samsung Portable SSD T7 1TB USB 3.2 External Solid State Drive (this is not the Touch T7).

I use it for my ps4. I find it gets quite warm when you download a game. Makes Load times better.

I was a little concerned about the reviews saying that this drive overheats, but I went ahead and decided to try it out. I bought it for my PS5 to store my PS4 games on and so far it has been a great drive! Ive played off of it for several hours at a time over the last couple of days and its has not overheated or given me any problems at all. It does get warm after awhile, but so has every external drive Ive ever used. I dont know how well it works with PCs, but I you need extra storage for a gaming console, this is a pretty good buy.

The comp reads this thing fast. Its USB 3.0 and is backed by a great brand. Ill be needing another at some point.
