    Greater than one week

I transferred about 300 gigs on it the first day I got it, and that took a little under 30 minutes.

Hello I have an MSI X570 Motherboard with USB C 3.2 Gen2 on it, I bought this drive so I could transfer large files fast Got fooled by the False advertising of speeds on amazon very disappointed in this product no wonder it was cheap they probably rebranded crap drive as Samsung T7

Best external SSD drive for processing large data sets without the need to transfer onto the computer. Makes transferring 500gb folders a breeze. No longer takes 3 + hours, now its only a matter of minutes.

I bought this drive with plans to resurrect my increasingly slow 2013 iMac. As with others who have written reviews my goal was to use this as an external boot drive. It does this job wonderfully! I attached it to my iMac and it was recogized immediately. I used Disk Utility to format it with the default Mac file system. I didn’t bother making a backup of my old installation, I just went to the App Store and found MacOS Mojave (I was running Yosemite) and I ran the install. When doing so it allowed me to choose the external drive as my target drive so I did that and the installation ran smoothly, rebooting a couple of times. After it installed, when it rebooted the last time, it booted into the old install on the hard drive, so I rebooted again, holding down “Option” and it gave me the choice of which drive to boot from, and I chose the Samsung and it booted quite quickly into the new installation. Everything runs and loads MUCH faster. The SSD drives are just so much faster than the old 5400 hard drives. It really feels like having a new computer. I also have a 2020 MacBook Air and my old 2013 iMac now runs about the same speed. I am very satisfied.

I got the blue one of 1TB and returned the Sandisk Extreme Portable 1 TB. While this drive may not be as transportable as the SD, it works better for me as a time machine backup. It does not get warm/hot like the SD. I did not download any firmware because I wanted it to fire right up on startup. This could not be any easier. Easily a 5 star recommendation.

El tamaño tan compacto y ligero, así como la velocidad del disco duro son sus mejores características.

I like that it has both USB and USBC cables. I noticed that backup videos are playing faster as compared to old USB thumb drive I had plugged into my Tesla M3.

I use this for storing all my main sample libraries for music production & it works great. Can add sample files fast & it reads fast so there is no lag when accessing in my DAW. Highly recommend if you need a place external drive to store samples.
