Greater than one weekI love everything about this vacuum! Mapped out my house and designated rooms on the app. I can set it to clean an individual room, the whole house or spot clean from anywhere with the handy Shark app. My floors have never been so clean. I set up no go areas on the app too, so he stays out of my kids rooms. Enter there at your own risk lol. They can vacuum their own room and I dont have to fear of this guy getting lost in their vortex of a room. However, if he does get stuck somewhere you get a notification on the app and you can locate him with the app too. It is also nice not having to empty him, he empties himself and I empty the been every couple of weeks and give him a good clean. Highly recommend this vacuum! Worth every penny, no doubt about it.

Greater than one weekI have mixed feelings about this robot, who we named Hank (you are supposed to name him for the app). I find him to be quieter than a regular vacuum, and the suction in normal mode is very good. Our carpets and hardwood floors get very clean. However, he seems to suffer from some form of dementia. We have had him map our very small 1-story home twice, have labeled the rooms that we want cleaned. He starts out great. Does the living room, moves on to the bedroom, and begins the kitchen. So far so good. At around this point he goes back to the dock to empty himself. He then returns to where he was in the kitchen.....and then quits the kitchen and meanders into the living room and goes back over a section he has already done, wanders over by the front door and spends a minute or two going over that area again, goes in circles for a short time, and returns to do the kitchen again. About 10 minutes after emptying, he apparently remembers that there is a dining room. He does the dining room. He then returns to the living room for the third time and moves with a lack of pattern over areas he has already done twice. He may revisit the kitchen for a third time. Left alone, he will eventually return to the dock and be done, but we get tired of avoiding him (if we stand in front of him he apparently thinks his map now has a new wall, and he is clueless enough without adding that) and we just say ok good enough Hank, and instruct him via the app to go back to the dock and stop. This robot would likely work well if he were run while nobody was home so he can backtrack and circle and redo till his battery runs out (assuming he doesnt have some sort of error code at some point). I am not sure what the AI in his name refers to, but the I is presumably not for intelligence. I might suggest looking elsewhere.

> 3 dayBought this for the mop and the ability to only mop one room. I use the vacuum part mostly but there are so many vacuums out there I don’t know why you’d be looking at this one if not for the mop. It does a good job of basic, wipe away the kid and dog mess from my white floors, kind of clean. It replaces the need for me to do a quick spray mop clean, which is exactly what I wanted and expected. There is a tougher clean option but I haven’t used that enough yet. Annoying things: the only way to cancel a clean in the middle of it is to send it to the dock, self-empty is pretty loud, you can’t schedule it for different cleans (particular rooms), only time and day.

19-11-2024Have owned a self emptying Shark robot vacuum for a few years. Previous robot started having issues and was offered a discount on same model (warranty had expired). Great customer service experience with Shark. Decided to upgrade to this model with AI. Couldnt be happier with performance. Superior mapping and matrix cleaning technology has helped keep our house with 2 large dogs, and a 2 year old much cleaner than before.

> 3 dayLets do this Pros: Coverage, so far its gotten every corner. Plus it does vacuum in rows so you can see what it misses. Self emptying, its good with a couple flaws on this point. More on this later. Noise level, depends on the setting, in the app it has 3 settings and buried deeper it has one additional setting. Eco, normal, and max. The more buried one is simply Ultra clean which only works when set to clean a zone or room. Durability: cant say since its its only been working for about 10 days at this point. Ill update the review depending on results in a few months. Cleaning power: So far so good its working well, even though we have a medium dog with semi long hair. Its been consistently able to clean up after her shedding. Cons: the bottom of the catcher does need to be cleaned about 1 time per week. Simply flip it over, unlatch the spinning brush, then reach in and clean out the comb that catches the hair and debris. Also empty the bin, it says 60 says or so. However, were just doing it weekly to prevent it getting full. Also, the app could use some work, it tends to freeze up occasionally while its running. Conclusion: we have a Roomba from about 2-3 years ago. Its done well by us but its been dying from all the dog hair. This shark doesnt have a problem with the hair at all. Weve decided to use the Roomba upstairs where dog is not allowed and doesnt go, while the shark handles downstairs. So far, its been rock solid.

Greater than one weekI love that it empties itself out. It maps out the area and cleans anything it can get under. This has a hepa filter which is also a bonus. I have a service dog that does not shed and wears boots... she has a friend that always sheds. This shark picks up all the sand and fur that her friend drags in with her. This dont replace vacuums (get a mop and vac combo) but it is great for getting under the bed!

> 3 dayI took advantage of a recent mega sale because we had been debating getting a new one after gifting the previous to my elderly mom. The previous and first robo vac we bought (Shark AV752 ION) did pretty well. It was a bit like drunk jar jar. Bumbled around loudly slamming into things, occasionally got hung up on thicker shag carpets, would roll over and get stuck on something when the cliff censor got lifted. So far this one is much better. Im not sure if its worth the $600 full market value. I really had to knock a star off because of the full price tag. In the end i suppose this is technically mid tier for the product type. Pros- bumping is reasonably quiet and is more easily triggered, manages to find its way back to the dock with ease (despite not having the full clearance they recommend), the mapping makes sure it gets everything in a timely manner. Cons - This is so loud. It is a vacuum though and i dont use it on the quietest mode. The dock is almost the loudness of a full upright vacuum. You will not be able to place this anywhere youll be relaxing or taking calls. But the robot itself is loud, just not that loud! The robot could be more effective at pathing. Its got some weirdness with pathing. It doesnt consider mapped obstacles when cleaning and still tries to hug around them like its looking for an opening. It is good about obstacles generally though. It was able to roll over a slightly wrinkled up towel without gettjng stuck. The wheels are definitely bigger than my old one which is clearly a good thing. Its also been a little unpredictable on timing. For example today it docked after under an hour and must have done a full charge because it randomly started back up after another hour charging. The laser top is definitely great, but is a notable bump up on the top. I could also see small hanging looped cables possibly getting stuck on it. The app is.... okay. Your no go zones and rooms have a minimum size, which makes blocking off sections of a room difficult and hallways cant be designated. If you move the dock you have to completely remap, there is no recalibrate. When zooming and moving around the map its easy to accidentally move a room designation square. Oddly i can only pick 1 or 2 rooms for spontaneous cleaning cycles and i cant block off a room except when requested. It would be nice to say only allow manual sends to office

16-11-2024For the price and the reviews I expected a lot more from this bot. There are almost no directions with it. It only maps one floor. So probably works great if you have only one floor. But if you have more than one floor what customer service told me is you have to turn the machine off, carry it to new floor, and start it not from the app (or it will mess up your map), but just push the clean button. Then on any other floor but the main one it is not a smart robot. It just bounces around randomly until it decides it is done cleaning and then stops and says it cant find its base. In my experience of almost a month it misses entire rooms. I would rather have a robot without the self empty base that is smart no matter where you put it and cleans the whole house. I had a Neato D85 for years before this and it did that. No app, no mapping, but who cares? What I care about is my house getting clean and this bot is not doing it. Have two more days to return, but I got it on sale and cant afford the one I really want- Roomba i7+.

> 3 dayWhy did I wait so long?! I love our robot vacuum. It is sort of like a little pet that sits in the corner patiently waiting to pick up the crumbs until you give it the command. We named ours Clean Latifah (or Queenie). She does a good job and we just love that it is one less thing to do. My house has never felt cleaner. Now if I could only get her to do the toilets! We got another one for the second story of our home and named her...Meryl Sweep! ;-)

> 3 dayNot easy to use, doesn’t pick up cat litter and hair, won’t connect to Wi-Fi, and dreadful customer service will sum up this review. I loved this vacuum the 1st week I owned it. We share our home with 4 cats so there’s some hair to be dealt with. I was excited about something to keep up with the fur in between my being able to run the “real” vacuum. Week 1 it appeared to do a good job. After that is when the major issue started. The fatal flaw is that hair not only get caught in the brush roller but it also gets caught up in the side of the roller where it attaches. This causes the vacuum to become inoperable until you do something about it. You end up spending a good 10-15 minutes with tweezers and scissors trying to perform minor surgery and remove the wad of hair to free up the roller. (In this amount of time I could have already done 1 room of my house). That’s problem #1. The other major problem is the absolutely horrible customer service they provide. The manual that comes with this is a joke. It basically tells you how to set it on the floor and turn it on which is self explanatory and could be done by my dumbest cat. There is zero information about connecting to Wi-Fi or this type of troubleshooting. When trying to use the app to pair nothing happens. I have tried 8 times. I have used the recommended 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and even tried 5GHz. NOTHING!!! My phone is updated to the latest software version so there should be no reason for this malfunction. I called customer service and read every number off the bottom of the vacuum plus gave a ton more info to a man who said he was transferring me to a service agent who could fix the problem and I would not have to repeat the info I had just provided. I waited on hold for 15 min, (after 3 minutes the “hold music” went dead) and no one picked up. I was concerned my call was sent to someone in a black hole so I hung up and called back. I then had the displeasure of speaking to a lady who had the I.Q. of a carrot and the customer service skills of a honey badger!! She started asking for all of the numbers for the vacuum and I explained to her I’ve already provided this and was just trying to be transferred. She continued to tell me there was no one to transfer me to. She then tried to help and her advice was to do everything that I’ve already done 8 times all over again. (Because the 9th time is the charm???) When I explained to her again that I have already done this 8 times and I’m calling for a different suggestion and some troubleshooting she then told me to turn everything off and back on again. I was aggravated and told her this has to be done to restart the process and again I’ve done this 8 times. She then told me to restart the Wi-Fi. I explained to her everything else was working fine with the Wi-Fi and since I tried to pair it right after it was installed this week and it continued to do the same thing I know that’s not it. She then told me if I wasn’t willing to do what she was telling me she would have to escalate my case and someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. I asked to be transferred to someone else and she said “there is no one else, you have me now”. The app also has conflicting information about how to use the Wi-Fi feature. I have waisted hours trying to make this thing work. The time you put into trying to fix/figure out software issues and picking hair out you could have vacuumed your house. DONT BUY!!!
