Greater than one weekThe vacuum was great at picking up, hair from a long haired german shepherd and short haird jack russell terrior with a shedding problem. Even the seemingly embedded hair was easily picked up by the vaccum with minimal effort and time. My 2 complaints are: some hair got stuck, but was easily removable from the roller. The canister was small, so dumping was more frequent than i wouldve liked. (0-2 times a depending on the severity of hair) Both problems which were seemingly improved upon in the next vaccum in sharks lineup the: vertex upright shark vacuum

> 3 dayI love this vaacuum, granted our old one wasnt working well, but I can not believe all the stuff this has picked up and betweeen my long hair and the dog, none of it is wrapped around the roller.. love it. I do find it a tad heavy to push around, but worth the effort.

> 3 dayI’ve had this vacuum for about a month now and here’s my honest review. Little back story we have a 1500 sqft home with dark wood color LVP, two girls, and 3 dogs. We have 2 Great Pyrenees dogs and if you know about them they shed ALOT! Big clumps of furry hair. Our newest addition fur baby is a Bernese Mountain dog, different hair but lots of shedding, we got her not long after my purchase of this vacuum and I’m so happy I did. The suction power on this is amazing and unlike any other I’ve seen. It has no trouble with the big clumps of hair, or the fine bits and all the sand, oh so much sand. One of the selling features for me on this model was the two brushrolls and the self cleaning brushroll. Ive tried robot vacuums and so many other products but I spend more time cleaning out the brush rolls and detangling all the big furry clumps of dog hair than it would if I were to just sweep the floor myself. But this vacuum I’ve had it’s times where I did have to clean it out because there hair is so long, but 95% of the time since using it, the self cleaning brush roll does work! I’ve watched it detangle through the brush roll view and I’m amazed. Nothing has ever worked for all this fluff before. The ability to quickly release the wand/handle has been great to get into those hard to reach areas. Huge pro I also love is that all the suction parts have a built in light meaning thr brush roll head, the wand, handle all have a light and with my darker floors this has been great to ensure I miss no spots. The description also states that it would kinda polish your hard floors giving it a cleaner look, and yes this is also true! I’ve noticed with each pass the floor itself color is better and less dull looking. By far my favorite is the suction, if you have a busy household with large shedding dogs and your living in fur and don’t know what to do, buy this vacuum and save yourself some sanity! Best investment ever!

> 3 dayI love shark products but this one is not any improvement from the last model. Holding dirt capacity is half of what the one I bought in 2018 Features are very similar, the quality in my book has changed. Not east to vacuum with. It won’t go straight it cuts to the right. I recommended one to a friend and they have the same complaints

> 3 dayThis is the best vacuum in every aspect! The suction is amazing! All the features will blow your mind! I have two dogs and a cat that shed like crazy and this vacuum cleans it all up. No more stopping to add an extension. All you do is click and pull to the feature you need. My daughter got one two years ago so I was able to use it at her house and I finally got one for my house this Christmas. This vacuum will not disappoint! It is pricey so I waited for a good sale. Surpasses all the other vacuums I’ve ever owned in the past 20 years. Don’t wait like I did. It is worth the money!

> 3 dayImmediate first impressions: Cons: heavier than I expected and doesn’t turn as easily as I thought it would. Sort of reminded me of an old fashioned vacuum based on bulkiness. Pros: picks up amazing on hard floors, carpet and rugs. I love the light on it, it really helps to show what you don’t see. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Of course everything will have cons, I was looking for a good vacuum for my new house and this will be a perfect fit!

> 3 dayOkay, so, Ive been looking for a vacuum so that I have something when moving into my new place. I was only really hoping to have a few certain yet important features. - No bags. - Strong suction. - At least a 6ft hose (or around there). - Fully sealed (no allergens get ejected back out). This unit met all of that & more! I wont bother going over everything thats shown since you can just read about it in the descriptions or even look up a video on the unit (Id suggest doing simple research like that anyway). So instead, let me point out the features that surprised me or just plain pleased me to confirm. To note, I used this for about 40-60 minutes in 2 bedrooms & a hallway, all carpet (that tall stringy type), as well as a hard wood floor living room. For the carpeted area, I ran over everything the day before with what could only best be called a cheap simple store bought vacuum. Enough to do the job on hardwood & still sucks up plenty on carpet, but it isnt gonna win any prizes. 1: The suction power. Let me put it this way. Just having the vacuum on, you could feel it trying to pull forward. Dragging backwards was the same. If you use this on carpet, I highly suggest you leave the main body of the unit (the engine & dust bin) attached instead of separating it from the rest of the unit. Their weight will help counter this. 2: The noise. Its a vacuum, so its gonna make noise, but it was much quieter than I thought itd be, especially for the level of suction it has. I could have a conversation with someone sitting 10ft from me & barely have to raise my voice at all. 3: The versatility. Its an upright, but you can pull the main engine & dustbin unit off, turning it into a handheld that has long reach & can get under furniture with just a bit of bending over. Both the head & handle have a light to see into dark spaces. You can remove the tube running from the handle to the suction head & use it that way if you so wished. Never mind the attachments that come with it. 4: The instruction manual. I know, I know. You look at the instructions? My uncle already laughed at me for it, but I prefer to go through the manual so I can know how to put things together the first time & even find nice little tidbits. Which is EXACTLY what I found going through this one. Let me just say that not only does this show you how to put it all together, but it shows exactly how to clean everything & even perform your own maintenance. No calling the support office, no scratching your head to figure out whats wrong. Just look through the manual & itll give you guides on cleaning, troubleshooting, why it may be doing this, etc. I LOVE when a brand actually gives you the ability to properly & fully maintain & troubleshoot the product you paid for yourself. 5: The filters. Four of them total. A mesh hair filter in the collection bin, a barrel sponge-like filter & a finer cloth pad filter before the suction engine & then finally a HEPA filter before any air gets shunted back out. All of these sealed up with rubber rings. I checked the filters (all removable & washable by the way, so you can keep them for much longer if you take the extra few minutes to rinse them after each session or so) & was very impressed with how much they grabbed. Honestly, not gonna lie, I sat there for a moment looking at these filters & thought ... is that what Ive been living in?. Now, I couldnt finish this review off without mentioning the one downside I had to this vacuum. The extra attachments. Ya know, the little tool heads that come with it & sit in slots on the back of the vacuum. I got a narrow hose head for tight spaces, a furniture head & a pet brush (ya know, like a little mini suction head with its own brush roller). The first is simple & works fine. The second does its job as much as Id expect it to as well. The third however... Never mind the fact that the unit only has space for 2 of the 3 attachments, but the pet brush didnt even work. The reason why is just as simple. It felt cheaply made. Out of everything that came with the vacuum, these were the cheap parts. The first two, as I said, work fine since they dont have to do much. The pet brush however didnt even have a proper seal between the top & bottom half. In fact, it had vent slits in the back so that the moment I set it down (lightly I might add) onto fur covered furniture, the brush stopped moving because it was too much & could just pull in suction from those vent slits. I should also mention that this was done on fabric upholstered furniture, not any kind of leather or similar material. Thankfully, I did not buy this vacuum for pets. My parents have them, sure, but I wont. I dont need this vacuum to tackle pets. So, long & short is this. Besides the pet brush attachment not having anywhere to sit & being cheaply made, I dont need it so Im fine with that being the cheap part. Everything else on this vacuum has already made me decide that the $300 spent on it was very much worth it.

> 3 dayThis is the best vacuum I have used ,it is a bit heavier than Im used to,but it basically drives itself over the carpet. I did see a few reviews that it did not have good suction but I had no problems. I have 4 kids 12yrs down to 3yrs this is a good investment worth the money.

Greater than one weekThis is probably the 5th version of this Shark that I have purchased. The “zero m” is awesome for preventing hair from wrapping around the brush roll, the bristles are better in my experience than their upgraded “power fins” (which I think just move hair around on carpeted surfaces and don’t actually help pick it up) and it has the light on the wand. Once you’ve had the light on the wand “upgrading” to the vertex or stratos models that don’t have it doesn’t actually feel like an upgrade. The suction for this vacuum is spot on. We are a house with 4 dogs and 7 cats (2 dogs have recently passed so now 2 dogs, and 3 cats are our sons that he will take with him when he moves out…again. Fingers crossed) anyway….this vacuum cleans all the hair, litter scatter, etc. effortlessly…and I vacuum at least one area of our house every day! Where I run into issues with this vacuum, is the power cord. Within a month of purchase the cord Inside of its casing seems to twist itself around and this creates a cord that is constantly tangled as you’re using it. It makes it a pain in the a$$ to wrap back up, and it’s (so far anyway) the only model that I have this issue with over and over again….but because every upgraded model skips the light on the wand, and thinks silicone power fins are better than bristles, I’ll just keep on buying this one.
