> 3 dayIm really impressed with this vacuum! Its so quiet that my dog was curious and watched me vacuum instead of hiding under the bed. The suction is so strong, it pulled a bunch of really fine dust out of my carpet that my old vacuum missed. It also made my house feel fresh and clean instead of prompting an allergy attack. I used the included pet power brush to vacuum my cat tree. Be warned, this attachment is LOUD! My cat who has never been afraid of the vacuum took off at full speed when I turned it on. Aside from the fact that it sounds like a miter saw, it really got ALL the cat hair off my cat tree! I love the powered lift off mode for getting under my bed, but I agree with another reviewer who said the pull of the vacuum is quite aggressive in this mode. Without the weight of the canister, the brush roll is so strong that it propels itself forward, and feels significantly harder to pull back. Its more of a workout than my previous vacuum, but that doesnt bother me too much. I think it would be too strong and heavy for my mom though. It does not do well with small, loose rugs. In low carpet mode it gets stuck in the rollers, and in hard floor mode it gets stuck just from the strong suction! It does good on non-slip rugs though, so I plan to replace my other rugs with those. Overall, Im happy with the Shark Apex, my house has never felt so clean!

09-06-2025I purchased this because Ive had shark products before. The suction is most important to me and this vacuum meets my needs. I like being able to keep up the maintenance on this machine. Everything is labeled nicely, so its easy to take apart, if needed. Its lightweight, which I like, and works well removing pet hair on furniture. The only downside to this machine is the rotation, its a little more stiff than I expected, which makes it harder to swivel,

> 3 dayMy main takeaway is that it came with a squeaky wheel. Otherwise, it works quite well.

> 3 dayHave had Dysons for the last 10 years and this was my first Shark. First the Pros: The suction power of this thing is ridiculously strong, especially with the tools. This thing is solid and seems pretty well made. The zero M seems to be working fairly well thus fair, except I noticed that although hair doesnt get wrapped around the roll, it does kind of ball up and you occasionally have to pull it out, but its very easy. I surprised but I really like the LED light both on the main unit and the handle for the accessory tool. I thought it was more of a gimmick but it actually really helps you see what youre doing. I LOVE the full enclosed filter system and this was one of the most important things to me. We have dogs and a new baby at hope and I felt the Dyson just constantly sprayed nasty dust into the air. This thing collects tiny little dust particles and traps them very well and Ive definitely noticed the carpets generally smell better because of less dander and dust. This vacuum is very quite for how powerful it is which I also like. Overall this vacuum is pretty impressive both on carpets and hardwood and I love the versatility of being able to pull the container off to get under tables that I usually just never clean under. Lastly it has a really long cord which is nice because I dont have to switch outlets as often in larger rooms. Now to the Cons: Right out of the gate I was displeased with the shipping, I ordered this from Amazon originally but after 2 days it was supposed to get delivered and essentially i was told they had no idea where it was and it never showed up to the facility so I had no expected delivery date. Of course I didnt like that so I cancelled the order and actually just ran over to Best Buy and bought one in store. In terms of what I dont like about the actual vacuum, its definitely the size, shape and maneuverability. You can buy the vacuum and quit your gym because this thing is a beast. Its so powerful and clunky that its pretty tiring to use. Im a 62 190 Lb male and after doing one large room I was sweating, and my arms were very tired. So it definitely takes some strength to use this thing. There is also almost a self-propelling to it because its so powerful so again, youre kind of fighting with it the whole time. Also, if you take the canister off the stick vacuum runs away from you and is a bit hard to control. Lastly, I thought the unit came with a dusting wand to get under appliances which it does not, so Ill have to order one of those separately. Those are pretty much my only issues with the vacuum. As long as I get used to the strength it requires now to vacuum, Id say overall its one of the best vacuums Ive ever used.

Greater than one weekIncredible suction on both tile floors and carpet. Coming from central vacuum system it’s a little heavy but worth it. Bedroom carpet looked like it had been shampooed. Highly recommend this vacuum.

> 3 dayOkay, so, Ive been looking for a vacuum so that I have something when moving into my new place. I was only really hoping to have a few certain yet important features. - No bags. - Strong suction. - At least a 6ft hose (or around there). - Fully sealed (no allergens get ejected back out). This unit met all of that & more! I wont bother going over everything thats shown since you can just read about it in the descriptions or even look up a video on the unit (Id suggest doing simple research like that anyway). So instead, let me point out the features that surprised me or just plain pleased me to confirm. To note, I used this for about 40-60 minutes in 2 bedrooms & a hallway, all carpet (that tall stringy type), as well as a hard wood floor living room. For the carpeted area, I ran over everything the day before with what could only best be called a cheap simple store bought vacuum. Enough to do the job on hardwood & still sucks up plenty on carpet, but it isnt gonna win any prizes. 1: The suction power. Let me put it this way. Just having the vacuum on, you could feel it trying to pull forward. Dragging backwards was the same. If you use this on carpet, I highly suggest you leave the main body of the unit (the engine & dust bin) attached instead of separating it from the rest of the unit. Their weight will help counter this. 2: The noise. Its a vacuum, so its gonna make noise, but it was much quieter than I thought itd be, especially for the level of suction it has. I could have a conversation with someone sitting 10ft from me & barely have to raise my voice at all. 3: The versatility. Its an upright, but you can pull the main engine & dustbin unit off, turning it into a handheld that has long reach & can get under furniture with just a bit of bending over. Both the head & handle have a light to see into dark spaces. You can remove the tube running from the handle to the suction head & use it that way if you so wished. Never mind the attachments that come with it. 4: The instruction manual. I know, I know. You look at the instructions? My uncle already laughed at me for it, but I prefer to go through the manual so I can know how to put things together the first time & even find nice little tidbits. Which is EXACTLY what I found going through this one. Let me just say that not only does this show you how to put it all together, but it shows exactly how to clean everything & even perform your own maintenance. No calling the support office, no scratching your head to figure out whats wrong. Just look through the manual & itll give you guides on cleaning, troubleshooting, why it may be doing this, etc. I LOVE when a brand actually gives you the ability to properly & fully maintain & troubleshoot the product you paid for yourself. 5: The filters. Four of them total. A mesh hair filter in the collection bin, a barrel sponge-like filter & a finer cloth pad filter before the suction engine & then finally a HEPA filter before any air gets shunted back out. All of these sealed up with rubber rings. I checked the filters (all removable & washable by the way, so you can keep them for much longer if you take the extra few minutes to rinse them after each session or so) & was very impressed with how much they grabbed. Honestly, not gonna lie, I sat there for a moment looking at these filters & thought ... is that what Ive been living in?. Now, I couldnt finish this review off without mentioning the one downside I had to this vacuum. The extra attachments. Ya know, the little tool heads that come with it & sit in slots on the back of the vacuum. I got a narrow hose head for tight spaces, a furniture head & a pet brush (ya know, like a little mini suction head with its own brush roller). The first is simple & works fine. The second does its job as much as Id expect it to as well. The third however... Never mind the fact that the unit only has space for 2 of the 3 attachments, but the pet brush didnt even work. The reason why is just as simple. It felt cheaply made. Out of everything that came with the vacuum, these were the cheap parts. The first two, as I said, work fine since they dont have to do much. The pet brush however didnt even have a proper seal between the top & bottom half. In fact, it had vent slits in the back so that the moment I set it down (lightly I might add) onto fur covered furniture, the brush stopped moving because it was too much & could just pull in suction from those vent slits. I should also mention that this was done on fabric upholstered furniture, not any kind of leather or similar material. Thankfully, I did not buy this vacuum for pets. My parents have them, sure, but I wont. I dont need this vacuum to tackle pets. So, long & short is this. Besides the pet brush attachment not having anywhere to sit & being cheaply made, I dont need it so Im fine with that being the cheap part. Everything else on this vacuum has already made me decide that the $300 spent on it was very much worth it.

> 3 dayI like my sharp. I love the fact it cleans carpet and hardwood/ linoleum. The suction could be a little more powerful but its agility and ability to separate from the base makes up for it. I havent used it for my dog yet but with the air filter I can tell the difference just after cleaning a room.

Greater than one weekHave 2 yes 2 Australia shepherd’s. Lots of hair. This vacuum sucked it all up. Loved the dust bin. Easy to clean n wash. Loved the different ways you can detach it. BUT. It stopped working. I suspect the cord. It seemed cheap. I guess I play electrician or buy a new one, which I would buy again.

> 3 dayThe vacuum was great at picking up, hair from a long haired german shepherd and short haird jack russell terrior with a shedding problem. Even the seemingly embedded hair was easily picked up by the vaccum with minimal effort and time. My 2 complaints are: some hair got stuck, but was easily removable from the roller. The canister was small, so dumping was more frequent than i wouldve liked. (0-2 times a depending on the severity of hair) Both problems which were seemingly improved upon in the next vaccum in sharks lineup the: vertex upright shark vacuum
