> 3 dayThis works beautifully and is so light and compact. I only have one very minor complaint. The part that attaches the cord to the actual device pops off very easily. I wish that the connecting part was actually a part of the overall device.

Greater than one weekThis hard drive storage unit is AMAZING !! I have loaded 251 CDs on it and it barely moved the remaining storage left needle! I have over 100,000 pictures to put on and Im sure that to will be handled just fine! It has been suggested to me to get another hard drive to back up what I have stored just in case of some unexpected disaster. Good advice!! I highly recommend this product not only for the tons of storage but the price was very good and Amazon paid the shipping!!! Good Deal !!

> 3 dayJust what I needed to make sure I do those computer backups that I never did! Plugs right into the USB port of my desktop computer, and I just leave it attached. Made a shortcut to it and put it on my desktop, so all I have to do is drag and drop my important stuff onto the shortcut! Especially good for my huge Microsoft Outlook archive and PST files! Gives me the option to just copy it (again) or replace the one thats already there.

> 3 dayIn my humble opinion, this has got to be the best external USB drive Ive ever had. I used to be biased and only bought WD drives, but even a drop from six inches can render those inoperative. These have had water spilled on them, been hit, been dropped from those six inches, and I still have access to all my data! Yep. A definite recommend on these. I have 2 of them now. Plan on buying a third. This is what happens when your PC has several terabytes of HDD storage.

> 3 dayNot a bad purchase at all. This external drive is built to withstand a tank rolling over it. Drop it to your hearts delight, I guess. I couldnt use my Macs Disk Utility to reformat the Armor A60, however. As Im only using it for general data storage, this isnt a big deal for me. It could be for others, for example, those wanting to partition their A60s. Also, the USB connection, while fast, is not as fast (in my subjective opinion) as fast as a SATA connection would be. A plus is that its all ready to go out of the box, without the need to locate online, download, and install drivers (at least for use with my Mac). At the sales price, its a good deal.

> 3 daySo far this portable hard drive seems good. I am not sure it is as rugged as they say as when I squeeze it a little hard the plastic has some give to it. I like the way the cord stores around the side. Writing to the disk is a little slow, but that is somewhat common in drives without external power. It is a nice compact size and light. There is rubber around the sides / and a little on the back which is good for drops. Mostly I am using it as a hard drive I can throw in a bag and take it back and forth to work, and this seems to fit the bill. I would recommend for anyone who needs a solid decently priced hard drive.

> 3 dayLove this little drive. I use it for taking files with me and between computers in my house. I like the plug storage, but it doesnt really stay put. I use an elastic band around it to make sure it doesnt fall off in my bag. The unit is very attractive and seems rugged, time will tell. It is thicker than my other external drives at 3/4. Purchased Aug 10 2917 Now July 21 2018 Changed my stars from 5 to 1 So not even a year and it wont show up on my old Win 7 desktop or my new Win 10 laptop. This has never been dropped, taken out of the house or abused in any way. It just seems to have stopped showing up on my computers and I dont even take if from one place to another more than once every 2 or 3 months. It still shows up to disconnect safely but that is all. I was sure it was Win 10 but now know better. Having tried it on 2 other computers. It does make a nice little disco beat when plugging it in and the lite in the drive comes one but that is the end of it. I have had another of these Silicon Power drives and it is still working but then I never move it so who knows what would happen if I did. Update Aug 2018 Well it did fail and I didnt get my information back, but the company did replace the unit. Since I dont use it for anything really important and have more than one back up including another Silicon Power portable HD this wasnt a problem. I still dont have a clue why this happened but I am glad I got a replacement. Although they should have paid for shipping both ways.

Greater than one weekLike it so far. I havent dropped it yet, but I know its just a matter of time. My biggest complaint about it is that it has uses the large size USB plug instead of a micro. Why?? Every other gadget I own has a micro-usb port, and now I have to keep track of this units cable that has no other purpose. I ended up buying a USB A Male to Micro USB Female Adapter for my unit that somewhat makes the issue better.

> 3 dayVery nice. I was afraid there would be a humming noise but i didnt notice (unless you literally press your ear on it) I was also suspicious of it not getting warm while playing a game off of it but fortunately the answers other gave about it not getting hot were correct. It does not even get warm. I usually place it on my leg and I cant tell it is there. :) The cord fits into the notches on the sides that are removable. While they can come out without much effort they do stay in there just fine. I just just pull the cord out while gently pressing the notch and have never had a problem. I have not tested the shock proof water proof part though...and I am not going to XD

> 3 dayColor is nice. I dont like the cord holders. They are sharp to the hands. I took them off. The speed is 30% less than my 500GB Silicon Power orange version. Both are 5400 rpm, so I dont know why. Im talking about making system images for Linux and Windows. Also slower to copy paste 18GB mixed files from a fast SSD.
