Greater than one weekReceived this today. Beautiful design, reformatted for Mac with no problems. I bought the 1TB model and have 992GB free after erasing + reformatting. Feels secure although the top and bottom are plastic, I would feel more comfortable if they had a rubberized coating as well (like on the sides) - my only gripe. 2 minutes to transfer 2GB on USB 2.0, I will have to test on 3.0 when I get my new computer.

> 3 dayGreat product. Using it as an external arc drive to store my XboxOne games given that I purchased in of the early consoles with limited space. Does great as you can easily run games off the external hard drive without any hiccups in game play. Can also transfer between the XboxOne hard drive and this one quickly. This hard drive comes with a USB cable that can also be attached to 2 rubber clamps that are attached to the hard drive itself for easy transportation. Since the 4 years I’ve owned this have lost one of the little plastic clamps that keeps the USB attached for easy traveling but not a big deal

17-11-2024Great product so far, knock on wood. I spent a lot of money on more expensive units just have them crash a few months later. Doing pretty good with this product so far. I used tons of data

16-11-2024I kinda enjoyed it until the cord gave out. I think because the cord is so short caused a shortage or some type defect to wear it doesnt work anymore. Hopefully when my new cord comes tomorrow itll work . fingers crossed

Greater than one weekThis hard drive appears rugged on the outside, just how does it hold up? So far, great! Its been over a month & it has held up wonderfully on the outside, pretty much looks like new. Its also functional, which is the point! Files load quickly & the USB port is a plus, also well made. A longer cord would be nice, luckily not an expensive addition. Overall a secure & solid buy!

> 3 dayThe hard drive arrived on time and was in original packaging. Initial thoughts when taking it out of the package were that it was light but felt durable at the same time. The USB cord being attached to the drive itself is a nice feature. When transferring files to the hard drive from a USB 3.0 flash drive using a Windows 10 PC, the file transfer rate was fast than what I get when using my Seagate USB 3.0 Backup Plus drive. The usable size of the drive is actually 930 GB, which wasnt a surprise do to the difference between Gb and GB. After having the drive for a day it fell out of my pocket while running up stairs at work. This would have destroyed my Seagate Backup Plus, but this Silicon Power drive loaded right up when I connected it back to my computer. Overall, Im very impressed. If anything changes, Ill update his review.

> 3 dayGreat tool! This hard drive is really a toy for the road, Serious capacity as it comes in 1T, 2T, 3T, 4T and 5T configuration keeping the same size and the same sturdy armor. With a USB 3.0 interface compatible with 2.0 and a five years warranty... There is no way of going bad with this handy and convenient tool. Ideal for almost any kind of task!

> 3 dayIve no issues with the drive itself. Fast, clean, and works well even switching between my mac and windows software. My grip is with the cheap case and cable attachments. The small plastic pieces are not securely attached to the drive and always come loose when the drive is traveling in my backpack. Theyre very easy to lose and Im lucky that Ive been able to keep track of them. They also dont hold onto the cable particularly well. I bought this drive in hopes that I wouldnt have to use a zippered case for my drives anymore, but the case/cable management on this product doesnt cut it - switched back to keeping it in a zippered case so as not to lose the parts.

> 3 daySo far, so good. Downloaded my whole computer onto it the same way I would use a flash drive (USB drive). The case holds the cord, which I appreciate so that it doesn’t get separated. I haven’t dropped it, but it seems hefty enough to be able to take a hit. Also not planning on purposefully testing for waterproofing or any other things that might risk it breaking, but if they accidentally happen, I will update my review. So far, I am very pleased with the quality — especially considering the price.

> 3 dayColor is nice. I dont like the cord holders. They are sharp to the hands. I took them off. The speed is 30% less than my 500GB Silicon Power orange version. Both are 5400 rpm, so I dont know why. Im talking about making system images for Linux and Windows. Also slower to copy paste 18GB mixed files from a fast SSD.
