    I would recommend SimpliSafe to anyone that’s looking for a home security system. It was very easy to set up in their customer service is outstanding.

    Their support does not speak English, and cannot help with any issues that arise. The support emails from them come from one single Dave at simplisafe. After multiple emails, and no one understanding me, I decided to return everything. The physical product has cheap stickers on it, so about half of them fell off after installing them. The camera connects via a USB cord, but does not have a battery, so... if the power is out, so are your cameras...? unbelievable. If youre ok with that and decide to keep the cameras, you cannot record anything unless you sign up for their monthly service. So no, this is not an independent system that will work offline. As others have said: deceptive advertising. All in all a very cheap system with no support. It seems all of their money went into their marketing, packaging, commercials, paid-for-reviews? nothing is put into support, quality products, or innovation.

    then this is the one as long as you dont use their cameras. I have an Arlo for my video monitoring and this for my Alarm at night. Arlo does not require a monthy fee to see the cameras on line, while simply safe does. But with Arlo and Simply Safe I have the best of both worlds.

    Apparently when Simply Safe makes a mistake and it costs you hundreds of dollars they expect you to pay for it. I was taught at an early stage in life that I should pay for my own mistakes so I don’t understand Simply Safe’s policy. I set up my alarm system so when I am not at home and my dog breaks into the garage to follow me, the sensor won’t set off the alarm to call the police. I know this was set this way because everyday when I leave the house I get a text from Simply Safe that I am just getting an alert that my garage door has opened, no police call, just an advisory text. In March such a call about my garage door, was noticed by Simply Safe dispatch and they say they called me but couldn’t get me to give them the password. Well in the first place they weren’t supposed to call me as I have explained. If they had spoken to me I would have given them the code and that would have ended the issue. But I somehow didn’t get the call? So when I got the false alarm bill, I called Simply Safe and when told about the call asked to hear it. They wouldn’t let me hear the call, but agreed it was their fault and paid for the bill. I was also told that it was a trainee on the call and that the trainer who was at that time training the trainee were both sent back to basic training. Good work. Unfortunately as you will see, Simply safe didn’t bother retraining others. Last week May 19, 2021, they did the same thing again. But this time they say they don’t pay. I am really surprised anytime I hear people who don’t want to take responsibility for their actions. But I would think a big company like Simply Safe would care about their reputation?! I called and the first person I spoke with was sympathetic and transferred me to their false alarm department. This rep told me they don’t pay for this. I asked why they don’t take responsibility for their failure and was told it’s policy, they only pay once. I asked why they didn’t tell me about this one time only to pay, policy when they paid the last one and they gave no reason. I called back and asked for the cancelation department and Brian told me he understood and totally agreed with me and he would help me. After connecting me to the same guy with a really bad attitude, he connected me to Shannon. She totally agreed with me and told me she would take care of it. She later connected me to someone who told me the issue was resolved and they would pay for the false alarm. The next day, I got an early call waking me up to tell me no they weren’t going to pay. When I called back I spoke to someone who seemed sympathetic, put me on a long hold and came back telling they won’t pay? I tried to talk to her but she just responded by repeating “It’s our policy.” No matter what I said. I went for this company because of how nice they make themselves sound. So now I am stuck with $367. for the false alarm. I bought Simply Crooked’s system to protect my home and they robbed me instead of protecting me. Beware. I am amazed that they do all that advertising to get customers and then treat them like this.

    The motion sensor received NIB never worked, 100% broken. Whatever, not a big problem. The big problem is the camera, which requires you to buy a subscription just to view saved videos. The whole point of the system is to be DIY. Requiring you to get a subscription to monitor your own house hearkens back to the bad old days of active monitoring companies. Avoid the hassle - if youre looking for a subscriptionless option, this isnt it.

    Horrible. Two weeks after install, door sensors stopped working. Motion sensor never worked. I have consistently had issues with the App not connecting to base station. A total waste of money.

    Amazon will not assist and they transfer you or have you hold forever. The extended warranty doesn’t actually help if the sensors don’t line up and Simply Safe won’t help because you didn’t buy it from them. I just need to return my purchase but it’s 2 days past and I have been transferred 4 times and been on the phone for over 78 minutes.
