The application will not work of you are outside UK/US, the registration form will not let you verify your account if you not have a phone number in those regions and tech support says it is an expected behavior.

Works great and I am happy with it.. but the ring alarm is cheaper and I love my ring cameras.

I have had a SimpliSafe home security system for over 10 years now, and have upgraded to the new system (featured here). I am *completely* satisfied with their system, including the very responsive monitoring service. When I first moved into my home, I had an ADT system installed. Their technician drilled holes in my walls in several places which are now unsightly knotholes, and ran wires all over the inside of the walls. Their service was overpriced and under-performed. The SimpliSafe system, in contrast, was a snap to install even for me, whos not very handy with tools. In fact, there are few items that really require tools at all, mostly a screwdriver and at most a hand drill for a starter hole for screws. Most of the sensors have 3M Commander strips that attach easily with no tools at all. The system communicates to the sensors by radio, and the base connects both by wi-fi and, if the wi-fi is down, by its own cell connection. Theres no need for wiring. Setup of new sensors is very easy using their secure website. The monitoring service is very responsive. For instance, the other day the smoke alarm was set off. SimpliSafe was on the phone within a few seconds of it going off to check to see if we were OK and if they needed to call for help. Their top-of-the-line monitoring service costs $24.95 a month -- half that of ADT and far superior. Its well worth the investment for having peace of mind and excellent service. SimpliSafe has extra items that are worth considering: video cameras, a video/audio doorbell, smoke and CO2 detectors, temperature and water detectors, a glass-breaking detector, and (my favorite) a smart door lock. The door lock allows you to remotely lock your door and set the alarm using a key fob, the main key pad, or the SimpliSafe app on your cell phone. Its really convenient, and the phone app lets you check to see if your door is locked (and adjust the system status) from anywhere. The door lock comes with a keypad that you can use outside (attached to the door or even in a nearby shed) that will let you open the door and disengage the alarm. That door lock has changed how we lock our house and is much more convenient than using a key. I can open the door while still in my car with my hands full of groceries. I highly recommend adding that to your order. But the system as a whole is great. This starter kit will get you on your way to a more secure home. I recommend the SimpliSafe home security system without hesitation.

Love our new security sys. Easy install, price was right and the monitoring is lightening fast! Trust me I found this out while testing.

If you buy this product from anyone other than directly from the manufacturer, they will not honor any sort of warranty. I bought mine on a sale before. I actually needed one because it was a good deal. By the time I set it up, I was just passed any return date through Amazon. Initially everything was fine but very soon after I noticed issues with the base station, and issues with the alarm being set to off on its own even though I had armed it. The last issue was when the alarm suddenly went off at 3:00 a.m. Im looking at my phone to see whats going on, confused and scared, and it isnt telling me anything so I call 911. A few minutes later while speaking with the dispatcher the SimpliSafe app lets me know that the panic alarm is what was set off. The panic alarm was sitting on my desk. In a closed room. With no one and nothing inside of it. It just went off by itself, somehow the base station detected that it was set off. Off. Too many issues with reliability and also coupled with the fact that the cellular protection that this company touts will also often disconnect from the base station leaving you with zero protection if your internet isnt working. When I called the company to talk to them about the issues, I was explicitly told that because I bought it on Amazon I would have to just deal with Amazon for a return. Return. Im sorry but the fact that they wont even warranty their products that are sold on Amazon, when they definitely need Amazon as their platform for sales, just shows me what a scumbag company this is. And I wish I never wasted the money.

Physical product is fine but phone support is virtually non-existent. 35 and 45 minutes waits on two separate occasions. I purchased a smoke detector to pair with the Simplisafe alarm system and found it impossible to know whether it was paired, would trigger a fire department response, etc. We will see if they contact me by email, but so far Im disappointed with customer service.

like that it lets me know when the door is opened, even when you dont have the alarm set.

So far no complaints only praises for this product. We had ADT once before and with all the sales gimmicks and hidden costs, we didn’t want to go down that road again. This system is very simple to install and use. Love the integrated app. I would definitely recommend this product.

I think this company needs to be more transparent with the realities and not disguise their descriptions behind some marketing ads. It makes them seem shady. First, this is not really no contract 24/7 alarm monitoring... you NEED their contract to get 24/7 alarm monitoring. Without the contract, you just get a loud alarm in your house, with no 24/7 monitoring. Now I dont expect something for nothing, but I did first interpret this as....OKAY, no contract with their company, but maybe I could still get wi-fi text and wi-fi smartphone alerts or even emails, no... theres no ability to customize that, you must subscribe to their service (roughly $15/month as of todays writing). Next, it says protection for every room in your house << again I feel thats *very slightly* deceptive... it is not protection for every room in your house, it is protection for the supplied and limited number of sensors that ship with the bundle you bought. You have to purchase the extra window, door, water, freeze, temp sensors. The marketing ads make it seems like this is your 1-stop shop, buy this and you get protection for every room in your house (along with no contract monitoring) for one low price and thats not true. Aside from that...yes this was very easy to install. I do like the sensors that state the batteries last 5 years on average...as long as it is 3-5 years and not 3-5 months, Im totally okay with that. I do wish it had a glass break detector in this bundle. When I actually started adding up all of the windows and entry doors and garage windows and doors and other open-able entry points, the sensors really do add up...so do keep that in mind when compared to a wired-in Smith Thompson type residential alarm. So despite the slightly deceiving marketing descriptions, looking past that, this is still an easy to setup and use system with seemingly long battery life, but to get all of the benefits (calls, texts, emails), youll additionally pay $15 each and every month and the company should be clear about that.

I spent a lot of money and not happy about the product. The chime is so low you can’t even hear ppl come in and out. Doesn’t seem safe for a security. There are so many parts. You can not properly secure your home with these system.
