> 3 dayMy family loves playing this game! It takes a little strategy if you are competitive that way, or is a casual fun game that is simple in its mechanics. Almost anyone could play this game, but a little strategy will help you win. Most enjoyable game for me since Catan and Ticket to Ride.

> 3 dayI gave Splendor as a Christmas gift, and the wife and I played 4 rounds New years Eve, we almost missed the ball drop! Reading the instructions and setting up the game, we both were not sure how to play, but by the 3 turn you have it. And then its superb! There are lots of different strategies to try, and multiple paths to victory. After a few turns to figure out what you are doing, it makes sense and is intuitive, but allows for complicated planning and strategy. The artwork is well done, and the quality of the cards and coins is excellent. Set up is easy and the container has a well thought out organizer. Great family game!

> 3 dayEasy to learn, set up, teach, and put back. Fun game that you can play 3-5 times in a night if you want. The coins are well made and heavy making them fun to hold as if you are a collector!

> 3 dayWe host a weekly games night, and have over 200 games on the shelf. I mention this to let you know that when I review a game, I have some exeperience with games. We all have different tastes in games, so I will try to let you know why I have the opinion that I do about a game. Splendor is easy to teach, plays fairly quickly and isnt too complicated, which makes it a great introductory game for people who arent used to real games. That said, it has enough complexity that it fits in nicely for people who are used to playing more substantial games, which is a nice bit of balance. It wont be the core of your game collection, but it deserves a spot on your shelf.

16-11-2024My family plays Splendor a lot. We have bought the expansion. And now gifted the original Splendor 2x at Christmas! My child started playing it at 5 and loves it, but we are a game family.

> 3 dayWe love this game. Its easy to learn and addicting. We never sit and play just one round. The best part is you can teach this to non-gamer folk pretty quickly and theyll have fun playing too. This game is not bogged down with a lot of crazy rules. The cards are a nice weight and bright colors. The coins are thick plastic. Its a quality made game. I think younger than 10 years could learn the rules, but might not have the attention span to really enjoy the game play. There are a lot of different strategies you can take to earn your points, so every game is a little different.

> 3 daySimply put, this is one of the most fun games Ive played. Its also got great art and design. The gem chips feel great in your hand and have a perfect weight to them. Games go fairly quick, about 30 minutes. Rules are easy to learn, but the game takes time to master. Luck (of newly placed cards) plays a role, but strategy plays a key role too. Figuring out just what strategy to use is a huge part of the fun, as it depends on what the other player(s) are doing, what cards are available. And after several games you are left wondering just what strategy *is* the best? Do you buy cheap gems to build an engine for future buys, or do you save up and buy the big payoff cards? Let the fun begin. And gems are pretty. Have fun Splending!

> 3 dayMy six year old daughter and I absolutely love this game! Once you get good at it the game moves quicker which makes it more fun. All ages find this game interesting and its neat to see the different strategies they come up with. My son always tries to go for higher cards first by reserving them. My six year old always collects low cards with no points. I always work my way towards the bonus points by collected the colored cards I need. The game itself is pretty to look at and the coins feel good and heavy in your hand. I feel its a must have for any game collection.
