> 3 dayWe bought this game, based on positive reviews. I am a game and love games of all shapes and sizes. My parents like games but cant get in to heavier games (Catan is too hard for them). I opened this open on our family vacation to give it a try and we played it every night for the rest of the vacation. It is a very simple game, however it really becomes a strategic game the more you play it. It moves very quickly. A turn lasts anywhere few 5-30 seconds, my brother is indecisive and moves a little slower, but there isnt a lot of sitting around and waiting. The game starts out at a slow pace, but by then end it feels like its going to be anyones game. My heart starts racing as we near the end and it gets crazy. Its hard to believe that such a simple game can be so exciting and strategic but it really is. This has moved to the top of the gaming shelf.

> 3 dayI love playing Splendor! It is an easy game to learn. We have played it with our kids. Our 7-year old loves it! There is some strategy associated with the game, and I dont think it is for all ages. It is a great family game! The rules state that the object is to get to 15 points. We have played that way, but our favorite way to play is to play until all the cards are purchased. The person with the most points wins. It is a fun variation!

> 3 dayMy friend took this game to my place a couple weeks ago, and I fell in love with it right after playing the first time. The cards are well printed and the coins have good quality. Although I know this game price might go down to around $20, but I couldn’t wait to have it. I have been playing it almost everyday since I got it.

> 3 dayIve owned this game since May 9th, 2014. Since then, this game has been played no less than four times in a row every single Sunday when I meet up with my family. The first couple of times we played, we thought that there was one strategy that was clearly the best approach, and I was a little afraid that wed get burned out on it shortly after. This couldnt have been further than the truth. The more you play this game, the more you see its depth. Marc Andre has very obviously put a great deal of thought into the balance of this game. Perhaps a few cards could be adjusted slightly, but I must insist that this game is probably has the most even ratio between accessibility and depth of all the games in my collection. My 71-year-old grandmother didnt believe she was capable of learning any tabletop game that doesnt involve a trump deck. She learned this game in thirty-five minutes, and asked to play it every evening she was in town this past week. Its simple: If you like board games, buy this one. The components are very high quality, the game is superbly balanced, and the replay value is extremely high. Its also excellent for those that dont like to park it for too long. The thirty minute estimate on the box is right on target.

> 3 daySplendor is an entry level resource management game. Even though its not as complicated or long as Power Grid or games like that, its still fun and easy for gamers to teach non-gamers. The games dont last too long, and many times, its difficult to tell whos going to win until the end. If youre a board game fan, and you havent tried Splendor yet, I highly recommend picking it up.

Greater than one weekGreat adult game. A game goes pretty quick and takes some strategy/thinking. It as fun with two people as well as more, I think. Our game-playing seven year old grandson caught on fast and mastered the strategy quickly. Great online videos to explain the game. The enclosed rules are good, too.

> 3 dayThis is an AWESOME two player game! Those are hard to find! It was super easy to learn, there is some strategy and luck involved. We also played with four players, and dynamics of the game pleasantly change, so what you have to change your strategy. It doesnt take too long to play, between 20-30 minutes per game.

> 3 dayThe first thing that jumps out at you about this game is the quality of the craftsmanship. There are no cheap components in this box. As soon as you open it, youre impressed with the weight of the plastic gem tokens as well as the chipboard that the noble cards are printed on. As for the gameplay, Splendor is very simple to learn, but it seems like there are multiple avenues to victory, which makes for a great/classic strategy game. I highly recommend it to any avid board-gamer. Its a great warm-up game that can be played in less than half an hour if everyone knows what theyre doing. All in all, a winner.
