Wow what a game. We enjoy board games - this is a keeper with us. Its fun to try to best the other players. This would be good for older kids because it demands the use of strategy. We also appreciate the fact that it doesnt take all day to play. Two people can enjoy a quick game before dinner. The box and play pieces are sturdy and nicely made. The box stores them nicely to protect all the cards and coins. The colors are rich, and the pictures are relevant to the theme. The quality of the game and fun of play make this game worth its price.

Since I have received this game. I have shown it to almost everyone I have hung out with. I cant think of one person who didnt enjoy playing in. Several people I introduced the game to ended up getting their own set. The game itself is easy to learn, not as relationship-destroying as other board games, and is quicker to complete than other board games like Monopoly or Catan. I highly recommend getting this game and consider it one of my most favorite board games. (I have over 20 different games and this is top 3)

My wife and I were so excited to get this game. We waited for about a week and a half and when it came we were so excited to open it. Imagine our horror when we opened it and there were pieces all over. Nothing was wrapped in plastic and some of the resource chips had the stickers off and just laying inside getting bent up. Not to mention that these chips feel like I could break them in half. My parents have this game and their resource chips are heavier than poker chips. These chips feel like a cheap 3D printer made them. They are supposed to have a metal slug in the chips in between the plastic. If they have metal in them then it is tin foil. Definitely would recommend a quality version of this game. Unfortunately this version is expensive and terrible quality at the same time. Literally feel robbed. Going to return this game as fast as I can and get my money back.

I bought it for them as a gift after playing it myself before Christmas. Its such a fun game. And if you have friends of kids who are very competitive and have a tendency to cheat - well, this game doesnt allow for cheating! All your cards are out for everyone to see all the time! A whole game can be played in about 30 - 40 minutes. If you like strategy and making moves to thwart your opponents, youll love this game.

My husband and I love to play games. Most of the games we play are for more than two people so we have to get together with another couple. Not this one! We love playing Splendor together after the kids go to bed. Its one of those that you can also throw a movie on and play while youre watching a movie. We love this game. Bought the expansion pack too, so were excited to try that!

This has been such a good game to ad to our collection! It was quick to learn and is quite addictive for some reason. It’s perfect because it can be played by a small group of people at a game night or just by a couple on date night. It seems there are few good games to play with only two people. It’s a bit spendy but definitely in our opinion a fun one! And the tokens are good quality and satisfying to hold.

Splendor is a great game, just as fun with two players as four. The learning curve isnt too steep, and with the constantly shifting bonus tiles, no two games are ever quite the same. Also, this new publication of the game is high quality, with weighted, detailed poker chips and sturdy cards. Theyve gone back to the quality of the first edition of the game, which is wonderful!
