> 3 dayThis is an AWESOME two player game! Those are hard to find! It was super easy to learn, there is some strategy and luck involved. We also played with four players, and dynamics of the game pleasantly change, so what you have to change your strategy. It doesnt take too long to play, between 20-30 minutes per game.

> 3 dayMy family plays Splendor a lot. We have bought the expansion. And now gifted the original Splendor 2x at Christmas! My child started playing it at 5 and loves it, but we are a game family.

Greater than one weekI’m addicted to this game! I like that it’s quick and easy to set up and easy to learn. But strategic thinking is required. Game play is about 30 mins with 2 players. Don’t know yet how it translates into a larger player game.

> 3 dayI had only played splendor once or twice before buying but I knew that this was a game for me. The ease of playing combined with the strategy involved, and overall randomness create a board game which is infinitely interesting and replayable. The only complaints I have would be the price. The game was about $35 (on sale) and in return all you get are some chips, a deck of cards, and a one page instruction manual. While the quality of these materials is superb, I would have to say that it hardly feels worth the high price. If this game were $30 or $25 I would recommend this to everyone.

> 3 dayI have been a board game enthusiast since I was a little kid. I bought this game and tested it playing with my wife. We both loved the simplicity of the game at the same time that it requires enough strategy to keep it always interesting. Normally my wife tends to save the tokens trying to get higher value cards from the beginning while I try to buy cheaper cards fast to not need the tokens that much. Both strategies work and is very difficult to know who is really ahead. We introduced the game to our kids (9 and 5). The 9 year old picked it immediately while the 5 year old needed some more time. Now they have taken over the game from us and play with whoever they find that will play with them. they have added different rules, to make the game last longer or to define second and third places. From all the board games that we have, this one has beaten all others as everyone in the family loves it and surprisingly has not caused any fights between my kids.

> 3 dayMaybe I came late to the board game party, but my family has embraced game night! We like to play a board game at least once a week. We picked up splendor on a friends recommendation and it is one of our favorites. It is pretty simple to learn, fast paced or leisurely as you desire, requires some strategy and some luck, and provides hours of repeat play. The game is well packaged, unpacks and stores easily, and doesnt require a lot of space. For you hard core gamers, I found a gaming mat I printed out and laminated that helps lay out the game, but you dont have to have this at all!

> 3 dayI bought this game on an Amazon lightening deal. My kids and I have decided that the manufacturer puts crack on the coins you handle, because all of us were obsessed with this game by the time we finished the first round. Let me begin by saying that were middle of the road people when it comes to board games: we enjoy the occasional Clue, Battleship, and Monopoly. But eventually, all of our games end up in the trash because my slovenly, disorganized, never put anything back children would lose the pieces. (My kids are now 13, 12, & 10.) Wed also never be interested in playing the same game more than once or twice every few months. Splendor, on the other hand, has been played 3x/day since we opened it 5 days ago. My kids BEG to play this and the 10 & 12yo got in trouble today for sneaking the game upstairs and surreptitiously playing it while they were supposed to be doing chores. They meticulously put the game back together and even make sure its returned to the shelf in the closet for next time. They dont take this much care with their video games!

> 3 daySplendor is pretty much a perfect game. Tokens are high quality and durable (think poker chips, whereas many game use cheap cardboard popouts). Easy to learn, fun to play, and not too repetitive. This is a standard for our 4 person gaming group but also works well with 2 players. Definitely add this one to your board game shelf.
