Stanwood Needlecraft Large Metal Yarn/Fiber/Wool/String Ball Winder - 10 oz

Ive been using this winder for most of 3 years now and continue to appreciate it. Ive rewound a couple hundred skeins of yarn in that time with no failures of any kind. Ive used a few electric winders in the past; none has done the job for me this winder does.

Love it! Easy to put together, easy to use and has made storing my yarn so much more compact!

I have a smaller winder thats great for smaller skeins; but, this one tackles those large/bulky skeins like a champ!!. Worked fantastic! It is just so cool to watch the yarn cake being formed.

I needed something that could handle a variety of yarn sizes. Had bought one from Hobby Lobby that was garbage. This was a good price and could hold larger amounts of yarn. Simply tighten onto a ledge or table, feed it through and off you go. It winds yarn into a nice firm cake. I did a good amount of research on winders, and im glad I went with this one.

Ordered this because it said it wound 10oz. and was metal. First off, I had to call because directions were unclear as to what were the proximal and distal arms. Person who answered was very nice, advise me to go to website and watch video. Should have put that in the instructions. Finally was able to wind 5 skeins of yarn, but not easily. Also said metal winder but gears are nylon. Nylon gears showing wear already. Personally dont think this is work the money.

Worth the money. Sturdy and winds the yarn beautifully.

My wife purchased this and is in love. Simple to use and makes partial skeins into ball in a jiffy. Smooth, easy and quiet

I was looking for a winder that would hold large skeins and this one didnt disappoint! It doesnt take a little more room to use but thats to be expected. It winds a nice cake with good tension without you having to control it. Well worth the money!
