Good, strong wool winder. Useful for larger skeins of yarn. Excellent as can use yarn from the middle.

This is a far, far superior ball winder. In this instance you do get what you pay for. Yes, the cheaper ones do the same thing but the Stanwood holds a larger amount, is constructed to last and theres no wobbly feeling while winding or while the bobbin is spinning. Very pleased.

I needed a yarn winder because I wanted a nice and tidy way to keep my yarn and so I can use it easier that what a ball would do. I have used it three times, back to back, and I love it!! I cant wait to use it more and more. Depending on the project, I like like to have large quantities of yarn, this worked perfect for that. It also worked well for smaller amounts. The cone is a bit large if you want to wind a 50 gram ball, but is perfect for anything more than that.

This is so wonderful. I can neaten up my yarn stock. It works really well.
