> 3 dayI got tired of having the yarn store have to wind the balls of yarn I would buy, knowing that technically, yarn should be wound just before using. My sibling was kind enough to buy me a ball winder; however, that device proved frustrating, as the yarn would constantly slip and slide. I splurged and bought a fancy one then crossed my fingers that it would work.

> 3 dayWhile it works great on heavier yarns, which is what I spin, its a mess with finer weights, which is what I buy. Im going to have to purchase a second size for full wind-ability.

Greater than one weekThis thing is heavy duty. Im concerned when I move it from place to place not to hit the furniture with it because itll dent it. Super solidly built. Also it works great! But my cats like to snack at it so it makes it a lot harder to cake the yarn

> 3 dayI am so happy with how solid this is, it is the Mercedes Benz of yarn winders, it is built like a tank. I was hesitant to spend the money, but after my cheap $40 winder broke after just one year, this seems like a good investment. I highly recommend it, I think it would make a great present.

> 3 dayI needed a yarn winder because I wanted a nice and tidy way to keep my yarn and so I can use it easier that what a ball would do. I have used it three times, back to back, and I love it!! I cant wait to use it more and more. Depending on the project, I like like to have large quantities of yarn, this worked perfect for that. It also worked well for smaller amounts. The cone is a bit large if you want to wind a 50 gram ball, but is perfect for anything more than that.
