Greater than one weekThis is the best yarn winder I’ve ever used. Even winding on all types of yarn. Winds a good volume of yarn. I now own two....one at home and one in my Florida trailer. Can’t be without it.

It is the Rolls Royce of yarn winders, why didnt I know about this years ago? The construction quality is the first thing I noticed after how heavy it was. > 3 dayThis is the handiest gadget Ive bought in a long time and I love it! Its very sturdy and easy to set up and take down. The crank handle is large and comfortable to use, even with arthritis. The clamp handle likewise is easy and comfortable. The whole setup process takes just seconds, and the yarn guides are large and easy to use. The gears are out of the way enough that its difficult to catch the yarn in them.

> 3 dayI am so happy with how solid this is, it is the Mercedes Benz of yarn winders, it is built like a tank. I was hesitant to spend the money, but after my cheap $40 winder broke after just one year, this seems like a good investment. I highly recommend it, I think it would make a great present.

Greater than one weekI love my yarn winder! Ive turned all my balls of wool into cakes. I have a plastic yarn winder and it only makes small cakes. The stanwood winder is made of metal and so sturdy. It can eadily wind big and small cakes.
