Beautiful book with very thick pages. Paper is not too rough and has a different texture on each side.

Ive used it with watercolor, gouache, and even colored pencils sometimes. I personally like it more for gouache and light watercolor doodles! I feel like the paper is a bit on the thin side for watercolor paintings. Id go for the thicker version of this journal for that.
