> 3 dayI find this to be a great travel watercolor book. The paper is easy to work with, and as long as you do not over-saturate the paper, it will not warp. While I am not a watercolor expert, I do find this journal great for on-the-go practice for a great price. It is also cheaper on Amazon than in stores!

> 3 dayThis is my first YouTube Watercolor Tutorial journal. Im so excited to fill it with tutorial attempts and see my progress as I work my way through the journal. Heres a pic of my first tutorial attempt. It involved A LOT of water, and the paper started significantly buckling almost immediately. This pic is after the painting dried. Despite the buckling while wet, you can see in the pic that the paper looks fairly flat once it dried. I plan to clip the edges of the book for my next painting and use less water. (I literally had pools of standing water on the page as I painted.) I plan to paint on both sides of each page (22 pages = 44 paintings), and looking at the back of this painted page I dont think that will be a problem. Im flattening it by piling heavy books on the closed journal overnight. I know Im reviewing it super early on, but Im just so excited! Ive been thinking about doing this for awhile, and finally went for it when someone recommended this particular journal in a Facebook watercolor group. Ill update as I work my way through the book. But as of now, Im very happy with my new journal!

> 3 dayThis is good paper for field work in water media. Its heavy enough and the way the pad is designed - hard cardboard backing on both ends of the stack - makes for solid painting without an easel. Ive used up two of these already on trips and look forward to more. I doubt that this is your super high quality high cotton content paper, or it would have said that, so please do not expect Arches premium stock. This is just very good paper that is probably pulp and probably has some kind of sizing. The size is just right for my bun bag field watercolor studio.

Greater than one weekThe perfect Journal for the multi media artist! I was looking to start my first art journal and this one is perfect, pleanty of pages and they are nice and thick. The thickness is like three pieces of construction paper stuck together but not so much that it is like cardboard, it bends. Sturdy to stand up to all kinds of vigorous creations. I am excited to get started. I highly recomend this if you are looking for a good sturdy journal! Erin

> 3 dayI bought this for learning watercolor, for practice and class use but he paper discourages me. It tends to not handle very much water , the paper does buckle and it takes relatively little to scrub out the paper surface. For a beginner the results on this paper are not inspiring. It is convenient and I am using up the pad but will not purchase another.

> 3 dayLove the paper weight and surface quality of the mixed-media version. I tend to use a lot of inks but these handle pencil and even some watercolor well for what I do. Ive worked my way through a few of these both 9x12 and the smaller size. I hope they make these for a long time to come.
