I use this journal for art journaling and love it.

I did a lot of debating between whether I should get this bristol smooth sketchbook or the bristol vellum sketchbook in this same line for use of an art journal. Im SO glad I ended up taking a chance on the bristol smooth because it was exactly what I was looking for! I work with colored pencils and Staedtler pigment liners, and I dont use any kinds of solvents or anything. I just blend with the pencils themselves. I also dont like there to be a lot of the white of the paper showing through when I color. I own the Soucolor 180 set of colored pencils, as well as the Faber Castell Grip EcoPencils, and both work like a dream on this paper! So Im pretty sure if bought the vellum sketchbook I wouldve thought it was slightly too toothy for my taste.

Great size and quality

Llegó terriblemente doblado en las esquinas e inclusive en las argollas. Del total de 22 hojas, 11 llegaron defectuosas con un doblez en toda la mitad, imposible de usar para los trabajos de acuarelas. Tuve que devolver el producto por el pésimo estado en que llegó. En definitiva, no lo recomiendo.

I have purchased this little journal several times, and it will continue to be my go-to for art journaling and projects. The pages have enough tooth and substance and take watercolor and mixed media well. It’s also just the right size to tuck into a bag for on-the-go.

I love this journal especially for the price. I does the job and it is easily transportable. I dont feel bad about wasting paper as I am a nube to watercolor.

Nice quality, use regularly

Im new to watercolor + just wanted a basic watercolor journal for my daily doodles + painting adventures. I really like this. I know it isnt as great as 100% cotton but as a beginner, I think this is a great journal for a great price

Perfect little sketch pad for graphite. Nothing tops vellum bristol when drawing portraits. I like that the cover is sturdy so pages feel protected when I carry it on the go. Thankfully the visual journal page tears off of the front revealing the nice sturdy cover beneath.
