I love this little book. Its exactly what I need for sketching random things and doodling in it. I will definitely be buying more of these in the future! The paper quality is good and you can if you so choose, use both sides of the paper.

Somehow the playful cover of this sketchbook has helped me let loose and don’t be to precious when painting in it. The results have been great and I filled my first 2 visual journals up in no time. Love Strathmore for inspiring to let go of expectations and just be creative. The paper is good for the money. Sometimes, when I do a lot of wet washes, the watercolors ends up floating around on top of the paper. But for moderately wet paintings and moderate layering, the paper is good.

I know little of art, but my childrens art teacher loved this product so much that she asked me where I got it from so that she could purchase a few. Paper is very nice. Spiral is of great quality.

Great paper for watercolors

Filled it up. Ordering another. Paper is high quality. Caution, if using ink, go slow. It takes a minute for ink to absorb into the paper. I use ink as my go to art medium. Therefore the paper must be high quality. This fills the requirement.

This is a good beginner journal for mixed media, a very good price. I would recommended it to a friend and I would rebuy it. Sharpies didnt bleed thru and watercolor colors remained tru. It did buckle a bit but if you use a few paperclips on the edges to other paper pages, the paper will go back down a bit after the watercolor has been applied if you do your diligence with the clips. Will rub paper off a bit if you rub to hard on paper but if your careful its a good journal.

This is good paper for field work in water media. Its heavy enough and the way the pad is designed - hard cardboard backing on both ends of the stack - makes for solid painting without an easel. Ive used up two of these already on trips and look forward to more. I doubt that this is your super high quality high cotton content paper, or it would have said that, so please do not expect Arches premium stock. This is just very good paper that is probably pulp and probably has some kind of sizing. The size is just right for my bun bag field watercolor studio.
