This is great paper and so fun to use! I havent taken it outdoors yet but I think if you are doing plein air painting it would be superb! Its sturdy and heavy weight 140lb. paper. After one side dries, I can use the back for another painting. I recommend for a compact option for doodles or traveling. Hope this review was helpful!

I love the convenient size to bring along for sketching on the go. The hardbound covers make it a great little watercolor sketching journal. The paper holds up pretty good.

Getting back into art journaling after nearly 25 years give or take. I used to make my own books, leather covered, best quality paper I could buy. Not quite back into making the books, tho thats not too far behind. In the meantime, this small sized comb bound journal hits the spot. The 140# H2O paper is nice and meaty. It flattens after a light soaking with gauche or ink spray. A hair dryer helps with the drying process when I want to get a move on to the next layer. It doesnt take much to fill the page. I appreciate that. It keeps the blank page fright down. Until I start making my own, Ill be ordering more of these.

Note: sharpies bleed through the pages a little, but art pens work just fine.

This is a great item for a great price! Paper is slightly more textured than Id like but I fulfills its purpose fine

I use this in my work as a coach. It allows me to take notes during a session in a way which is both freeform and intuitive. It is sturdy, the thickness of the paper is perfect, and it travels well. I have used several of these notebooks and they remain my go to.
