> 24 hourSturdy umbrella, opened it is quite large but folded it is only slightly longer than a compact umbrella. Love that it is auto-close; makes getting in the car much easier. I had a Totes compact umbrella for more than 10 years and it never let me down. Recently left it in a car that I traded in so replaced it with this one. Very satisfied!

> 24 hourOnly used once, during a merely moderate but direction-changing, gusty downtown wind. The moderate, inconsistent wind direction inverted this umbrella several times during the 20 minute walk. Finally, upon getting indoors, I saw three of the eight staves had became significantly bent. Note: My wife and daughter had other brand umbrellas which also inverted but which did not suffer damage to those umbrellas staves. The company gives no exchanges or refunds unless umbrella is returned in perfect condition within 30 days -which have already lapsed for me. Going forward, this umbrella still functions, but its fragile susceptibility to further damage (or complete failure?) from any direction-changing, moderate gusts makes me give future buyers this warning/recommendation: -->Pay more and get a more durable umbrella or be prepared for frequent umbrella inversion and resultant damage to (or complete failure of) the umbrella.

> 24 hourLook at the massive number of virtually 5 star reviews for this well-made umbrella. It really says it all. And now please add my voice to the choir of happy buyers of this umbrella. It is made FAR better than any other folding umbrella Ive purchased in the last 20 years. Im a man, and this is an umbrella that is not made like so many other girly, lightweight, small handled, flimsy, and soon-to-break folding umbrellas. Im so pleasantly surprised by the quality, weight, and LIFE-TIME warranty! Are you kidding me? Even the ribbon velcro band you use to roll the umbrella back together for packing...is 2 inches WIDE, well stitched to the umbrella, and perhaps most amazing of all, actually LONG enough that you dont have to strangle the umbrella to BARELY make the velcro reach to band it securely! I KNOW you feel me on this, lol. Finally, for the very reasonable price...this is a BUYING no brainer to beat the rainer!

> 24 hourGreat umbrella for when you need something that provides a lot of coverage but packs up in a portable package. I decided to buy this since my city gets pretty windy when it rains, so smaller umbrellas were just leaving my pants entirely soaked. At the same time, I needed something a little more portable since I like to carry my umbrella in my bag whenever the forecast suggests it might rain. This umbrella fairs perfectly in the stopping water from touching you from above category, as do most other umbrellas. This one has the significant advantage of being huge and being able to cover you, your personal items/bags, and one other person and their belongings comfortably. In fact, you can easily squeeze three people under it and not get wet if you dont have any belongings. You get all that coverage AND it packs up into the size of a regular small folding umbrella. However, since its that large and folds, its a little weak when it comes to wind. I often feel it moving in my hands when Im walking in wind, and anything more than 10-15 mph winds will be hard to hold it up straight in. So far, Ive had it flip inside-out 4 times, so I have to admit that its not the greatest umbrella to bring out on a windy day. However, I have to admit that Ive never had an umbrella collapse on me 4 times and still keep working. Perfectly. Without any issues. Even the auto open/close. So its tough. Buy this, but not if your city is very windy.

> 24 hourA bit bigger then the regular Totes which serves us well as my wife is in a wheelchair. That said it folds up nicely and is easy to carry and store.

> 24 hourI like this umbrella - it is a golf-sized umbrella, but retracts to a size that is small enough to carry in a briefcase / backpack. I am hard on umbrellas, though and I worry that Totes got this combination by using as thin a gauge of metal for the spokes and handle as possible - it feels flimsier than other Totes umbrellas Ive purchased. (I think Totes is one of those companies that will warrant their products with a lifetime guarantee - Ive had the opportunity to avail myself of this with Totes, but I only feel comfortable with one replacement per one item purchased; you cant expect too much from an umbrella, after all.

> 24 hourI bought one of these in 2013 (right) and another in 2022 (left). The only difference between them is that the velcro strap now has a totes tag on the end of it. The skeleton structure is identical and is even stamped with the same ENSON-D4 part number. I replaced mine because the rubberized handle degraded and became sticky. Sitting in my car for nine years no doubt had something to do with it. Id have no reason to replace the old model if not for the handle. The mechanisms work, the canopy is flawless, and the skeleton is sound. Angle it into the wind and Id say youll have a great umbrella for about 8 years.

> 24 hourThese are great umbrellas, especially for the price. I have had a couple for several years. They open strongly automatically, ready to go. The button to close merely collapses the dome, it doesnt retract all the way until you push it back by hand and reload the spring. The dome is a good size (54) and covers two people walking arm in arm. The umbrella is pretty durable metal, stronger than most. The grip is large and comfortable. The sheath slides on easily without snaps or buttons. Folded, this is not a compact umbrella but very comfortable, sleek and well balanced to carry. Best of all Totes warrantees it for any failure for life- $5 for return shipping.
