> 3 dayI purchased this fan to replace a cheaper one that didn’t even live for a year. This one is so much better! It is a little loud when on full blast, but if you just want some air circulation, it’s not bad at all. I have tested the temperature control, it worked as intended. The fan looks good, works well. Can’t complain about anything.

> 3 dayNot the greatest breeze but definitely cools down around I have a 36-in window so the fact that it comes with fittings to go up to 40 in was great My room is never been so cool

Greater than one weekWorks great and looks decently clean in the window. Took a while to figure out how to get it to fit in properly since the instruction manual doesnt explain much, but I eventually got it in properly and it works with the semi-permanent window screens in my apartment. Some criticism: Temp control seems only useful when its cold outside otherwise your room will never drop to the temp you set. There should be a timer for the warmer months when youll be using air conditioning. No timer also means you either run it the entire time youre not home or not at all. Not very useful as I smoke in my room. For some reason the foam on top of the fan doesnt span the entire length so you dont get a complete seal. I used some stick on foam strips to fill in those gaps. I also had to use tape on the sides since there is a slight gap. I like the foam blocks but every window is different so you cant always get the clean look. The remote that comes with it also works with the vornado tower fan I have, and the remote for that also works with this fan. To avoid them interfering I placed the fans on opposite sides of my bedroom. Seems like a silly problem to have with a brand like Vornado. Overall it works great for my needs. It doesnt take up too much vertical space like the ones with traditional fan blades. Ill probably buy another one if they make a new version with a timer.

> 3 dayI’m in an apartment, in a tiny town, with only a window unit in the front room and no way to get air to the back (down a hall) where my bedroom is. It is often much cooler outside than in my apartment, all night. This fan was meant to help me sleep at night, bringing in the cool air when there is zero breeze outside. First night, it was so quiet and the room cooled off so well, I got one of the best nights of rest in over a month. By day 2 it seemed louder, but I thought no way…by day 7 I couldn’t leave it on while I tried to sleep. And now a month later, I can only turn it on in the hours before I go to bed, with the door almost shut because it’s almost louder than i can reasonably put my tv. I am quite disappointed, and grateful for winter(my least favorite time to live in colorado) I’m a student in an intense program, I’m stressed and tired anyways, but this fan caused a couple sleepless nights that I just can’t afford mentally or physically. I’d return if I could, as it is, it’ll go in the trash in 7months when I graduate and go back home.

> 3 dayOriginally I purchased a Sharper Image PORTAL fan, which is also made by Vornado. The concept of the low profile fan was very appealing. Unfortunately this fan was defective and had to be returned. I felt that maybe if I went with a higher level fan I would get more fan for the buck so to speak. The CFM rating was a bit higher as well. This unit is slightly wider than the Sharper Image PORTAL model, and slightly taller. Once fitted to my window I powered it on. First impression was its nice to have a remote and a touch control panel. Second impression was to disable the thermostat setting. This was nice that it could be disabled, however when powered off it loses this setting and you have to press the temp button 2x to disable it. Not a deal breaker but off is off to me, not reset back to factory between uses. The remote is small and nothing too impressive about it. the round button is not hard to manage. The touch controls are okay, but you first need to tap it to wake it up then you can select your changes. there are 4 fan speeds, each with a noticeable difference. 1 & 2 are very quiet and 3 & 4 are increasingly louder, but not very loud overall. Air moves directly forward and IMO it moves a good amount of air for the type of fan it is. Reversing direction is simple, one button press and it changes air flow direction. This is one of the biggest reasons I purchased this fan, was to exhaust the kitchen cooking odors. This fan on 4 is much quieter than the hood vent. Overall I am happy with this fan, it serves its purpose, is it worth $99, not remotely. This is a $50-65 fan all day long. When powering off, you can still see through the fan, this indicates that its not completely sealing off the outside. This fan will only be used Spring/Summer/Fall seasons. Id gladly pay the $99 for a fan that could seal off the Winter so it could be used then.

> 3 dayEasy to install and operate. I would buy for each window in room rather than run A/C all day.

> 3 dayFast delivery, however, it came in damaged packaging. I was concerned with the content but it looked ok. So, I ran a quick test to make sure and it seems no internal damage. Will install it and see if it fits the window using the form blocks provided. Will update the review sometime later.

> 3 dayI bought this fan to use in my apartment as an odor extractor for the time I cook. Its the best decision ever! I put it in my living room window, since I dont have one in the kitchen, I turn it on when I start cooking and it pushes all the food outdoors out. Fully recommend!

> 3 dayWorks well. Fairly silent and does manage to shift all the hot air out of a room in a few minutes. I mounted it at the top of my window in rhe computer room as that room gets hot and stuffy fast Maor gripe with it....you cant tell if its on or off. The power led stays on all the time, and the rest of the display powers off after a few seconds..fine..but you cant seeif its on or off. If the power led went red while powered down or something...but nope. Looks powered on even when off. Or off when on. Very annoying. But even with that ive ordered another to go under my desk. Its quiet enough for that and has low vibration. No more mosquitos chewing my elbows. Got the second one in black. Also pretty awesome. Can confirm they use the same code so the remotes are interchangeable and can affect two devices at once.

Greater than one weekAs a fan, this unit is pretty solid. Construction is good, it puts out a lot of air, and the native Alexa integration is great. The added functionality of temperature control, direct/exhaust modes, and touch panel are nice as well. It’s also reasonably quiet compared to most units. Setup was fairly easy, although I had to link it to my home automation in the space where my Echo hub resides and it required multiple attempts, including a factory reset or two along the way. That costs this design a half star; I should have been able to do it all from the bedroom and without having to do a factory reset (it was a new unit). The fan is not very wide and, as such, requires fins on either side to fill in the window space. Vornado includes slotted, foam fins you can place - 2 each of 3 different sizes. Problem is…they do not attach to the fan or each other. Additionally, their height is just a bit too short to ensure they stay in place. Mine regularly fall out of the window. To solve this issue, I’m attaching Velcro dogs so they can be held together. It’s a simple fix, but, again, a design issue that I shouldn’t have to deal with at this price point so another half star there. Besides those minor issues, I like this fan and its features. It does a good job of keeping the room cool, cycling adequate air in/out (it is NOT an air conditioner; no condenser, coils, etc). If your window is too small to fit a full sized box fan, this is a solid option.
