> 3 dayNot the greatest breeze but definitely cools down around I have a 36-in window so the fact that it comes with fittings to go up to 40 in was great My room is never been so cool

> 3 dayI tried both android&ios no joy. AE is not worth the extra money. The insulation foam blocks dont squish enough to fit in the groove of the window. But they can be trimmed with a sharp blade painfully bit by bit The fan itself is as quiet as a bathroom fan.

> 3 dayThis fan is well worth the price. I first tried an inexpensive window fan from a bix box store. The Transom fan does a much better job. The big box store fan requires you to take the fan out from the window, turn it around and replace it in the window in order to use it as an exhaust fan. ThisTransom fan uses a buttton to switch the airflow direction and it moves more air with less noise. The build quality is just so much better better. The transom fan makes for a much better fit into the window with the foam that is on the top and bottom of the fan. My window has been retrofitted with a vinyl replacement window so the foam blocks provided do not work work very well to seal the sides. I will have to use some foam from another source and cut it to fit my window. In spite of that, I would buy this fan again.

Greater than one weekWe are using the fan in an older storm type enclosure, that is in between the living room and a glassed in patio, so I knew I would have to get creative to install the fan. But after experiencing the comically bad blocks this comes with I fully understand what others here are griping about. Those blocks will only fit in a very specific type of window frame, and even then Im not convinced theyll do much better then a mediocre job at sealing. As seen in my photo, I actually removed the pane of glass and replaced it with plexiglass that I could cut around the fan, which worked out being awesome. It just baffles me how so much thought and consideration could go into designing this product and then them utterly fail on the fitting for various window sizes. But what can ya do, the fan is by far the best, quietest, most volume, air mover Ive seen. The only improvements I see room for is the blocks system of course, and beyond that I really wish it had WiFi support. Seems a real shame they left that feature off. But anyway, yes, Id recommend with one caveat, that you be prepared to figure out an alternative way of fitting it into your window sealed.

> 3 dayMake Sure You measure your window:) I got mine to work but it is outside the replacement window with the window handle holding it, I have a screen so it placed well, good over all design, I think they went for quiet more than power. My old Holmes (they dont make the model anymore) was much more powerful, but much much louder. I use it for exhaust only, it does not pull smoke well, and Im 5 ft. away on level 4. We will see how long it lasts I do like the design.

> 3 dayI’m in an apartment, in a tiny town, with only a window unit in the front room and no way to get air to the back (down a hall) where my bedroom is. It is often much cooler outside than in my apartment, all night. This fan was meant to help me sleep at night, bringing in the cool air when there is zero breeze outside. First night, it was so quiet and the room cooled off so well, I got one of the best nights of rest in over a month. By day 2 it seemed louder, but I thought no way…by day 7 I couldn’t leave it on while I tried to sleep. And now a month later, I can only turn it on in the hours before I go to bed, with the door almost shut because it’s almost louder than i can reasonably put my tv. I am quite disappointed, and grateful for winter(my least favorite time to live in colorado) I’m a student in an intense program, I’m stressed and tired anyways, but this fan caused a couple sleepless nights that I just can’t afford mentally or physically. I’d return if I could, as it is, it’ll go in the trash in 7months when I graduate and go back home.

> 3 dayGot my fan today; I was very excited to take my big, bulky box fan out of the window. I was very disappointed to discover this fan doesnt blow nearly as hard. Auto mode on/off , didnt matter. Im disappointed. this was 100 bucks and my box fan was 20.

Greater than one weekIve ordered this fan three times. The first and third time was fine, and thats what this review is about. The fan works great. Climate control and remote are awesome futures, but Ive bought the fan mainly because of the exhaust future. One-click of a button and any smoke/vape is out. Now the bad. As other reviewers said, the foam spacers arent the best. The way Ive solved this problem - is the Airconditioner Weatherseal Kit from Home Depot. One piece of urethane foam below and one above the fan will seal it well. And the third piece goes in-between the windows. Also, try to squeeze in the foam pieces (that come with the fan) during an installation. Use the ones that are 1/4 to 1/2 inch larger (per window) than needed. Theres no point in them being there if theyre loose. Finally, about my second (faulty) order. Ordered a Vornado Transom window fan and received a steam cleaner instead. I called Amazon support, and they told me to return it, and everything will be fine. So I returned it to Kohls. After Amazon processed my return, they issued a refund. I thought that was the end of it. But, after two months, Amazon charged me again because they havent received a FAN back. How am I supposed to return an item Ive never received? This is an ongoing issue that is not relevant to the Vornado fan. So It doesnt affect my rating.

> 3 dayI purchased this fan to replace a cheaper one that didn’t even live for a year. This one is so much better! It is a little loud when on full blast, but if you just want some air circulation, it’s not bad at all. I have tested the temperature control, it worked as intended. The fan looks good, works well. Can’t complain about anything.
