We lost/forgot the password to our Dell laptop running Windows 10. After contacting Dell tech support, who could not really help, I thought for sure that we either had to take it to the Geek Squad ($$$ plus they would probably end up wiping out the data in the process) or 86 the laptop entirely. After a bit of Googling and research, I ran across the Password Zapper. I generally worry about using/installing/downloading unknown programs, but after reading mostly glowing reviews of the program and the support offered, I decided to give it a whirl. And, I am so glad I did. The Password Zapper WORKS and though I did have to figure out how to boot from the USB, it was a piece of cake after that. The enclosed instructions are detailed and accurate, but I would definitely recommend reading them several times before actually proceeding and then proceeding slowly and with care. I did email Customer Support (that info is included with the Zapper) and got a very prompt reply from Matt with an offer to walk me through the process via phone call. I ended up not needing his assistance, but it was consoling to know that he was there if I needed assistance (Thanks, Matt). I know that there are some negative reviews of this product, but I sincerely think that if your password isnt working, youre running one of the listed Windows systems, and you take the time to fully understand the instructions, this program is a winner.

At first, it doesnt work. But I followed the attached instruction. Perfect. It worked very good. Very happy.

Did as described I was able to delete the admin and write my own Thanks got a laptop that was given to my son and the gentleman passed so good luck getting the password well hold on there not so fast zap that password with thia zap tool. We used to do the same thing on 3.5s back way back when thanks cheaper than a new operating system.

Well .. apparently it doesn’t work with gateway

Hard to use for a non technical person

inherited nice laptop from late brother-in-law. was able to bypass and nuke his password and re-use a very expensive laptop. I am definitely not a techie....

This little gadget saved me from losing all my data!! I had been using a pin to sign on, but what I didnt know is when I reinstalled windows, it no longer mattered that I used a pin - I needed the password. I couldnt remember the initial password I used when I purchased my computer so many years ago, and that was even with a password hint!! I literally tried every trick I knew and googled. Nothing worked. BUT THIS DID!! This is the absolute best $20 I ever spent. It is super easy to use. Just follow the instructions. I am so grateful for this little device. Its a true miracle worker!!!!
