> 3 dayI was aware of and fine with the screen quality and heat issues, and those have proven to be true. I didnt expect (but should have) expected a whole host of other issues.

> 3 dayI bought this computer about a year ago right before a long gap year trip. It worked pretty well for about 2 months, just long enough to miss the return period and then the problems started. It would get extremely hot in about an hour. Soon thereafter the battery life starting to wane bit by bit. One year in, I get less than two hours use on a full charge. Im assuming this unit is just a lemon as the other reviews seem to be ok, either way Ill have to buy a new laptop.

It works!
> 3 dayThis laptop doesn’t have good enough processor for my work so I decided to keep it in my bedroom for browsing and surfing. Definitely not your goto choice if you’re a gamer but the specification is just enough for daily uses. I found that the screen quality isn’t the best, the speaker isn’t the best either. But for the price you pay, this is a great laptop with compatible processor. You can expect to spend at least $1000 for another competitive brands. That being said, little bit of fall in quality doesn’t bother me at all. Overal great laptop for its money!

> 3 dayOverall, this laptop has a phenomenal processing power. I run multiple applications at the same time and this computer is incredibly responsive. The screen is tolerable for basic use, but I can see people who play video games or use their computers for art having a hard time liking the screen.

06-06-2025Less than 6 months old and the laptop continues to shutdown on its own. Even when the battery has a high charge it will not startup until it is plugged in for charging. This behaviour has been going on for over a month. All of the normal correction suggestions made by Acer and the Acer community have not corrected the problem.

> 3 dayIts a great laptop. They have so many models that the pricing could be confusing. I got this for 1005 cad. The fingerprint reader is really quick and accurate. That was an issue in earlier generation of this laptop. The display does show a slight improvement compared to previous models. I personally dont feel the alexa feature is all that great. Some may find it nifty. Too many voice assistants in one lap could be trouble later on. The battery life like always is great. The backlighting could have been better. Especially the way its illuminated. Some letter dont shine up. The fast charging sort of works but its generally a hit or miss. The track pad is not the best in the industry , but does the job fine. The keys are really good and well laid out. One finger opening of the laptop is not possible, if that something you are looking for. You would have to use two hands to open it. The laptop can go flat all the way , but cant do 360.

> 3 dayComputer seems fine except damage to the display--two marks close to the top of the screen that wont go away. After confirming my ability to return the item, they gave me the wrong mailing label. Cant get a hold of them by phone (voicemail full--goodbye).

> 3 daySummary: For what it is, its a great overall mid-range laptop, though it does come without its own problems. If you are on the hunt for an everyday driver for basic tasks and some advanced ones like 3d printing and some lower mid-range gaming it works as a solid laptop. If you are trying to play the latest AAA titles and run CAD yeah, youre going to be disappointed but this was the completely wrong choice to begin with. With a fully back-lit keyboard, the laptop takes the strain off your eyes and makes working in lower light an almost pleasure. The screen, though bright, can leave a little to be desired however. It does tend to be a little dim for the price point but is still adequate for daily work. My one grief does come with the sound, namely, the speakers. With such a thin and light form factor in the laptop sacrifices will inevitably have to be made and it shows in the speakers. Audio quality is acceptable but with a smaller speaker comes smaller, weaker magnets and thusly quieter speakers. Dont get me wrong, yes they are audible, yes they arent blown out, but I feel as if these speakers may never get loud enough to blow out.

> 3 dayPurchased this laptop as an upgrade and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed! The keys are so smooth to type on, coming from a writer who’s on her laptop for 5+ hours a day, and the battery life on this laptop is incredible.
