> 3 daySeveral keys on the keyboard stopped working. Seems like a common Acer problem. Tried many recommendations, usually involving uninstalling drivers and re installing them. Unfortunately nothing seems to work. I got this computer for my daughter for college. She is still using it but has to lug around an external keyboard to use this laptop. I wouldnt recommend this laptop since I havent found a way to resolve this issue.

> 3 dayI have always liked smaller, more compact laptops with 14 screens so when I was doing my research for a replacement for my 6 year old Asus laptop with Windows 8, I found this one. The specs looked solid as I wanted a SSD and the online reviews suggested it was a good value. It was easy to get started and not a ton of bloatware to remove. Im getting it all set up with my files and so far, its been working great. Im hopeful it will last for many years to come and offer me the performance increase and battery life I am looking for over my old laptop.

> 3 dayI bought this device solely for the 6 core processor. It is, in fact 6 core, however, it does not have SMT (hyperthreading) so it will suffer in thread based tasks.

> 3 dayThis computer actually exceeds my expectations, and it is great especially for this price point. It has a decent amount of RAM for my everyday use. The Wi-Fi is great and speedy, does not drop connections. Pages com up instantly when browsing the Internet. Track pad has a good feel and response to it and the keyboard feels nice and solid. The only complaint I have is about the back lighting of the keyboard as it is too bright and can wash out the letters on the keys. There is no brightness control for the keyboard, just on or off. The keys are silver and the letters are semi transparent, they look black when back light is off and white when light is on. Some complain of screen not being bright enough but I have not experienced that. I keep the brightness at about 1/3 setting and it seems great, havent used it outdoors yet. All in all it is a great computer, I am glad I bought it after watching the review on Lon TV.

> 3 dayWe bought this computer less than a year ago, and within a few months it started having problems. The computer would bring up a blue screen and have to be rebooted. Some days the computer would never boot up. We contacted Acer support and went through the process of reinstalling the OS, as per their recommendation. That didnt work. We had to ship the computer out of state to be fixed, and all they did was reinstall the OS. So, basically, we paid to ship a computer to have a technician do exactly what we had already done. We are still having issues with the computer and are not getting any help from customer support. We have talked to two different people and were told two completely different things. We cant be without the computer for weeks and are not going to ship it back to just have them reload the OS, which is clearly not the problem. We have requested a new computer to be shipped and when it arrives we will return our defective computer, but we have received no help. We will never buy from Acer again.
