11-06-2025I admit that I am not really good at taking care of portable gadgets, especially a laptop. However, this machine stood the test of time. I only use it for coding and making presentations, though. I am not sure how long the hardware would last for a casual gamer. I also have to note that I changed the operating system of my machine to an open-source alternative. However, overall, I like how it is light and sturdy. I will let you know in another year if it will break another personal record!

> 3 dayThis is not exactly a gaming laptop, but it crushes Minecraft. :) The Chromebooks I got the kids for about the same price just werent cutting it. Sadly, they are more work to maintain, and less secure due to the OS, but when doing Zoom and apps that are sadly still only made for PC or Mac, theyre kind of the only option. Zoom on my Chromebook with similar specs stutters if I do anything other than Zoom.

Greater than one weekIve had this laptop for 6 months and I love it. I can fit in into my school bag, download so much, and actually do my work on it. The keyboard is a smaller than most laptops but if you have small hands, this is good for you. The fingerprint reader is a good addition to it, never broke on me. And the battery life is very good. Ill be on my laptop for an entire day, everyday, and nothing is breaking. Its silent (no screaming fans) and if its hot, it wont overheat. I can put it on my lap and its not burning me. (I used to have a very broken bulky laptop before and this thing has changed my life) Although, if you are a gamer, I would recommend something else.

> 3 dayThis laptop is really quite good. The performance is incredible for the price and the build quality is better than what I expected by a far margin. I first learned about this laptop after watching a video by Dave Lee, and to me, it looked really cheap, but he said that the performance was really good, and thats what mattered to me. When it did arrive, however, the build did not feel cheap. The whole thing is made with solid aluminum and the construction feels solid. During Daves review, he mentioned that the screen was really bad. However, after receiving mine, although the screen had bad viewing angles, it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. In Daves video, he mentioned the biggest selling point to me, which was the performance. And after using it on some games, I can say for sure that his assessment was very true. I can run games like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice at playable fps (30-50 in my estimation) at all times. You do have to turn down the graphics, but for the price, its a miracle it can run at all. Less demanding games, such as Valorant, can be run at 110-150 fps. I have never dropped below 100 fps at medium graphics in Valorant. The keyboard is probably the best laptop keyboard I have ever used. The keys feel nice overall and there is a wide variety of function keys. The trackpad, as Dave mentioned, is made of plastic, but it does feel nice and the click is nice and satisfying. If there is one thing that I wish this laptop had, I wish it had one more USB Type-A port. However, the port selection is actually very decent and most people shouldnt need more than the included ports. In conclusion, if you are debating buying this laptop, I say you should go with it. For the price, there are few that can match it.

> 3 daySeriously, this thing is trash. I wish I had spent $200 more and gotten a decent computer. It worked okay for a couple months but 6 months later it is CONSTANTLY freezing, crashing, and today the track pad stopped working. Why? Your guess is as good as mine. It can barely handle my incredibly superficial use of netflix, email, google docs, and spotify. It gets super hot, and Im always hard restarting it because it freezes so bad that you cant even control, alt, delete. The battery now lasts about 3 hours just browsing and using word processors.

Greater than one weekPurchased 2 laptops. Both started off great. Wishing 4 months, one stopped taking a charge. Contacted the seller and they were initially responsive. Ultimately, they blamed the manufacturer and did not provide any meaningful assistance. They do not stand by the products they sell and I will not purchase from this seller again. Beware

> 3 dayI am not a computer expert. I use the laptop for basic functions (ie. email, google, word documents, excel, streaming movies, etc). My initial impression is that the laptop does appear to live up to it’s Amazon description; however, keep in mind that I have only owned my Acer Swift for a few days. I like that it’s very light weight and thin. The keyboard is smooth to use too. While the laptop is a more compact (which is a plus for me), it’s as easy to navigate as a bigger keyboard. I have purchased other laptops in this price range (Lenovo, ASUS, etc) and I wasn’t as impressed. They were heavier, bulkier and slower than the Acer Swift. If the longevity is decent (only time will tell), it will definitely have been worth the purchase. I will update this review in the future if the laptop doesn’t perform or last for a reasonable amount of time.
