Greater than one weekIts a great laptop. They have so many models that the pricing could be confusing. I got this for 1005 cad. The fingerprint reader is really quick and accurate. That was an issue in earlier generation of this laptop. The display does show a slight improvement compared to previous models. I personally dont feel the alexa feature is all that great. Some may find it nifty. Too many voice assistants in one lap could be trouble later on. The battery life like always is great. The backlighting could have been better. Especially the way its illuminated. Some letter dont shine up. The fast charging sort of works but its generally a hit or miss. The track pad is not the best in the industry , but does the job fine. The keys are really good and well laid out. One finger opening of the laptop is not possible, if that something you are looking for. You would have to use two hands to open it. The laptop can go flat all the way , but cant do 360.

> 3 dayI’m very happy with this purchase. It’s powerful, loads fast, and it can handle all my multitasking without slowdowns. It’s also really light and compact, despite being a solid metal construction. Battery life seems ok. If you’re on the fence, I say you won’t regret buying this.

> 3 dayI did not purchase the touchscreen model as I like to project to a high quality 27in Led monitor to take advantage of the graphics. First let me address the Ryzen CPU quality, being a lifelong intel cpu user I found the Ryzen 7 a great alternative at a much lower cost vs a intel i7 10th gen series. I did not experience any lagging in the overall performance and having multiple applications and having several browsers & open tabs did not effect functionality. This specific laptop is leaps and bounds a big improvement in Acers development strategy in regaining some of the marketshare it lost when attempting to compete with the more prevalent big names whose evolution to adapt to newer technology left Acer in the dust. Well they have risen to the challenge quite nicely and this specific build and price point make it an exceptional value that I can highly recommend to any level of user. I use to laptop like a business laptop so always on throughout the standard operating hours and some after hours stuff. When attempting to relay any cons about the laptop I cannot but I am not a gamer so as far as that aspect you would need the opinion of an avid gamer. All in all a great experience.

> 3 dayPurchased this as the aspire 5 I wanted with the ryzen 5 4500u sold out literally as I was checking out. Not at all happy that the ram is not upgradeable. Soldering ram is NOT acceptable if not upgrade is possible. Leaving 3 stars as I think this is a decent value but is severely lacking in upgrade options. Not at all happy about that. Might return it.

Greater than one weekWe purchased this Acer laptop two months ago. We had to return the first one because the HDMI port did not work. We ordered a second one, and took a chance. The HDMI port after having the laptop for four weeks, has stopped working. The brightness does not work anymore. The audio quality is now horrific. And it also glitches and freezes all the time. The second laptop that we ordered we’ve had for 39 days, and we cannot return it because it’s nine days over the return window. Do not buy this laptop it has been nothing but trouble from the start. Just for the record, my son was taking a midterm in music class, and it gave him problems during his class. I asked to return the laptop and we were told no because it was nine days after the return date. You would think after the second time giving them a second chance on purchasing from their company again, they would allow me to return it for a full refund. They told me I now have to reach out to Asser. I’m hoping I can return this laptop and get a full refund and be done with it. I am one unhappy customer.

> 3 dayThis laptop has had more problems in less than a year than I have time to list. Theres constantly an invisible window blocking half the screen, it runs VERY hot especially when plugged in, it cant handle running Adobe software I use for work, and it freezes all the time. Picture is from it freezing and glitching when I opened an illustrator file.
