> 3 dayI will get the bad out of the way. The Power button should not be where the Delete key belongs! I have accidentally pushed the power button so many times trying to press delete. On this laptop Acer put the power button in the corner of the keyboard just like any other key. Im so used to having the delete key at the top right that I naturally go there. The power shape and size is just like the delete key next to it. This is a big usability error. Otherwise the only bad thing is not having an included SD Card reader.

> 3 dayMany issues with charging, thermals and just dissipation which I feel it affects it from performing to its true potential, many key placements, such as power not spaced properly or something, so wind up putting computer to sleep often and alot of times had issues connecting with things, microphone working on online conference programs...and did I mention the heat thing, the fans can get loud.

> 3 dayi want to like this laptop, but im on my second one now and im not sure ill be keeping this one either. the specs are good enough for a $500ish slim machine, and ive yet to attempt a task it cant easily handle. but the issues im having are just kinda deal-breakers.

> 3 dayA better, perfect, slimmer laptop to replace my old Gateway Windows 8 laptop. Same memory as comparable MacBooks with more storage. Bigger 14” screen and comes with Windows 10, but my model was upgraded to Windows 11 for free.

07-06-2025My laptop failed 6 days after the end of the warranty period. Since I have extended warranty through my credit card, I needed to get a quote for a repair. I live in Canada and bought this product through Amazon Canada. Surprise… my motherboard is a US version and can’t be sourced in Canada. I called the Acer support line and they said it would cost a flat $US 500 to repair. That is almost exactly what the brand new purchase price was in equivalent Canadian dollars.

08-06-2025bought one of these for my sister going to college, she is very happy with it. its completely over powered for what she needs it for but its best to have a little more than you actually need. no one likes a slow and laggy computer.
