Good device for speed and covered wifi

Why didnt i get this sooner. its fantastic. i love it and it installed in 30 mins.. Makes everything faster and my picture on the WIFI TV is better. i love it.

I purchased the AX6000 as a replacement for the 5+ y/o AC3100, (Asus RT-AC88U) model which has been a reliable router for me. The form factor was identical which was a bonus since I had the original mounted to a wall plate and all the cabling dressed accordingly. The new router dropped into place with no fuss. WIFI coverage is improved, but some of that is because of using the old router as an AiMesh node with a hardwire backhaul connection to the new model. If there is one ding to the review it is because of an Asus anomaly of the user interface that some changes to the settings will reboot the router without warning you first.

Ran really good for 1/5 years but now its dropping connections. ASUS used to be a good brand...not anymore

Seemed to be ok for a little while. Now that Im working from home everyday I am constantly having issues with connectivity. 2-3 times per day. I update the firmware every time it comes out and it never seems to get any better. I would return it but Im out of the return time frame.

Paid full price yet received an open box router with missing instructions! Very frustrating!!

I returned this because it would not keep the upstream Internet connection for more then a few hours without needing to reboot. I have an ASUS RT-AC68W that works fine with the same connection so just returned to using that. I was going to combine them in an AI-Mesh network but just figured out another way to go with this.

Ive ordered ASUS RT-AX88U at Amazon. Upon delivery Ive discovered that it is DOA

I was very excited for the RT-AX88U. I even bought two with the intention of creating a nice mesh network in my house. Unfortunately, I find it simply can’t deliver on its promises. I ended up returning both units and reinstalling my old Orbi RBR50.
