> 3 dayUpgraded from Amped Wireless Athena AC2600 Router. I got that router purely for its signal strength, to power through my 5,000sqft home. This ASUS has even better signal strength. My smart home now has over 50 connected devices at all times, and the Athena would drop connection requiring reboot every 3-7 days. I needed something more powerful, more reliable, more intelligent. This ASUS is it! I have 6 TVs and a theater running 4k streams and gaming. I have 3 smart home hubs handling a myriad of devices on their own, an ecobee thermostat, Alexa Echo dots and shows in every room, an equal amount of phones and computers, smart switches, weather station, locks, cameras, irrigation system, PS4, 4k Blurays, Amazon Firesticks.... If my router goes down, everything goes down. I needed the best and the latest. Not one issue with this ASUS. Not one required reboot. It has a quad core 1.8GHZ CPU with a usage graph, it doesnt even break a sweat. The amount of enterprise software features is incredible. If youre like me with more then 50 devices and need reliability, speed, and signal strength, do yourself a favor and get this router.

> 3 dayReplaced a Linksys Tri Band Velop system with this. The difference is AMAZING. I no longer buffer on movies and this actually reached my entire house. Easy to setup and love it! Highly recommend. I know it was a ton of functions for the techies, but for someone who just wanted reliable WiFi signal, its perfect!!

> 3 dayThis is my third ASUS router that I’m returning. Under performing, low WiFi range, unstable connectivity and weak signal. I think it’s more suitable for small apartment not a house unlike the description.

08-06-2025This is my second ASUS router and despite the cost, I love them! This one has a slightly lower range than my last, but makes up for it with speed and reliability. As with all of these type routers, the basic setup does a great job, but if you do your homework and dig into the manual settings, theres a LOT of GREAT features in this thing! I run my home and business off of it!

> 3 dayPoor WiFi connectivity when using the 5G band. Connection is stable for about a day, then the 5G band ceases to function. The only thing that temporarily fixes the issue is a manual reboot of the router. Asus released a bios update that was supposed to fix the issue, but it made the problem worse.

> 3 dayTo say this router was a huge disappointment is an understatement. Had just gotten gigabit fiber optic installed after waiting years for it to become available. Had narrowed my search to 2 or 3 options in this price range. Although the wired ethernet connection was initially near gigabit speed, it significantly degraded to less than 500 mbps over time. The wireless wifi speeds on both the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands were extremely disappointing from the beginning, sometimes reaching the 500 mbps range on the 5 GHz band, but most often going much slower, anywhere from 90 to 250 mbps near the router, which is about what we were getting with our basic router on non-gigabit, non-fiber service from Comcast.
