Greater than one weekI got this as an upgrade from another Asus router, expected it to be just that, an upgrade, but sadly it was a downgrade. I have gigabyte internet, and with my previous Asus router I was easily getting my 1 gigabyte speeds (or as close to possible, given more people using their internet lately).

19-11-2024This is one beast of a router right here my friend!! Highly recommend!!! I purchased 2 of these and set them up in the AIMesh set up! Awesome mesh network. Covers whole house, front yard and back yard.

> 3 dayI purchased this router to replace a TPLink rounter that was 6 years old. My wife was complaining about connectivity inside the house, so I looked at a few reviews and decided to splurge on this one. Hopefully it will be current, and working for the next 10 years.

> 3 dayThis is my third AX6000 router. I recommend this to family and friends. I have not found any router that has this range. WiFi reaches over 3000 ft which makes it great for covering a whole house.

> 3 dayI bought my RT-AX88U in September of 2020. Ive had very good service from it the whole time Ive had it. My router supports a network with 8 HD cameras, a TiVo Bolt Vox serving 3 TiVo Mini-Vox units. We also have 4 Rokus and an Xbox 360. I never have any buffering problems no matter how many devices are in use. We frequently have 3 or 4 HD video devices playing videos or games at the same time. My wifes laptop has an Intel AX200 wireless card installed and it normally links up at 1.2 Gbps. My desktop also has an AX200 but the machine is inside a wooden desk which restricts the wireless signal somewhat. It still gets at least 710 Mbps but frequently gets around 865.

> 3 dayRun away from it. This router is extremely bad in range. There is a lot of hype about this router but this router frequently disconnects from the internet unlike all other router brands that I had.

> 3 dayFirmware on the router needs to be fixed. The router drops wifi all the time. I had 8 wifi cameras connected to the AX88U router and they were unusable as the wifi is constantly dropping. Switched my router back to an AC88U and have no problems with wifi dropping and the cameras work again. I would not buy this router until the firmware is fixed. ASUS tech support is of little help.

> 3 dayI returned this months ago due to buggy firmware. Its now solid. Highly recommended. Bear in mind that there are still some legacy bugs with older devices. Some intel PC wifi drivers need to be updated. It was a bit touchy with next protects (although the thermostat and the hello were fine). My one AX client runs really fast, and Ive even see an increase in speed with 4 band desktop AC connections. Also, it reboots way faster than the older AC88u. Id recommend this, but also recommend switching to Merlin firmware.
