> 3 daySo far so good. Everything was able to connect and like the interface with the phone app and the ability to have parental controls and limit hours. All the complaints I have read, so far, haven’t seen it and I’m able to pull over 100 Megs for my service. I’ll update after a while to see if there is anything else.

Greater than one weekAll I can say is this router does increase my internet, but there aren’t many changes bc of my low internet plan. I will change this review when I upgrade my plan to see how effective this router does.

Greater than one week10/17/22: Updated to 5 stars. Original firmware this router came with was 3.0.0.4.386.41700 which was frustrating dropping the internet connection daily (DHCP WAN issue). Upgraded to firmware 3.0.0.4.388.20518 and its been stable so far! Will post updates as I have more time to test it thoroughly. The addition of VPN fusion support is a win too! I did not use the web interface or app to update the firmware automatically. Downloaded the firmware from Asus website. Reset the router to factory defaults. Plugged in a PC via ethernet cable then updated firmware. Reset the router to factory defaults again, disabled Smart Connect/band steering, then manually configured the router to account for older devices on my network (up to MCS 9 256 QAM for 2.4 Ghz and left 5 Ghz on Nitro/1024 QAM). Im playing things a bit safe with those settings but your mileage may vary depending on the devices on your network.

> 3 dayThis is not a cheap router, but on my gigabit internet connection with wifi 6 devices ive been able to get very good (800-900) wifi speeds.

> 3 dayExcellent speed, lots of raw power, no issues. Note that I use Merlins firmware instead of the default, and highly recommend that for more features and stability. My old AC88U was great as well, but I couldnt pull 1 gig speeds without this upgrade.

> 3 dayI’m a fan of ASUS routers and had high hopes withe the AX 88U with the excellent reviews the “pro” reviewers have given it so far but that is as far as it goes as I have had the 88U for two days and with Amazon support and ASUS support , I can not get more then 50 MPs on the 2.4 band. No matter what setting we change the 2.4 band speed and distance we’ll... sucks. The 5gb band is a lot better in speed but not as good as my older ASUS 3100 router does. I’m going to give ASUS support one more try later today and if we can’t fix it it’s going back to amazon.

> 3 dayVery long time I was using the Tplink routers with no issues. I decided to upgrade to wifi6 and have read some reviews. Many users was recommended to go with Asus because of user interface. I chosen this model. First few days was everything good, but after wifi 5ghz always disconnected. I was unable to connect Google cast at all. I dont know why, maybe my specific router had issues. I have many Asus products like laptops and Im very happy with them, but router disappointed me. I returned that one and purchased a much cheaper Tplink ax5400 that works perfectly fine with no disconnection.
