Great product

I had this router hyped up by so many people and I read over what it could do at least a dozen times. I was even waiting for my old router to finally bite the bucket to get this one, and it set up super easy and has a ton of cool features, but if you have smart devices like Alexa or a Smart Fridge, it straight up refuses to connect to them. I’ve jumped through just about every article and Reddit post I’ve found seeing numerous of the same complaints but thought it was just folks not doing something right.

Awsome router with stock firmware but an even better router with Merlin firmware. I have 2 of those routers in ai mesh setup. Nice wifi 6 coverage in entire house works good with other so mesh routers like ac5300 or ac68u

Had a Security problem with my older Netgear router. It would allow access from the WAN to reset the router. Discovered this after it had done it twice to me. Reported to Netgear and they started asking for my WAN IP... and way too much more. So I realized it time to try something different.

I love the traffic tracking system , it will show you real time WAN / LAN traffic and also shows traffic per day/week/month/device and App. You can restrict bandwidth per device, firewall and QoS so you can prioritize what kind of stream will have higher priority in the router.

I’ve owned the previous generation of this router and decided to finally upgrade to wifi 6. Immediately all my smart devices were working correctly and stopped giving me errors of disconnections. Wifi signal is strong throughout the house. Going from my standard att router to this was a night and day difference. I have gigabit down and up, but on wifi I’m seeing half those speeds. I would tinker around more but I’m completely satisfied with out of the box experience

Even tough it is a bit pricey, it does its job well, provides security, powerful signal in the house all over…ASUS as always, offers reliability and security so needed nowdays.

Like: The User interface and ability to control it via iOS app. Disliked: The failures as well as the Asuss response, Amazons and Asurions response. I had TWO of these that failed in the first two weeks.

The item was defective. It worked for 1 day & had to be returned. Tech support helped identify the issue. BTW the lights on this item worked one night & lit up the room.
