> 3 dayThis router will not break the bank but will surpass expectations. Excellent in everyway. Very user friendly Interface. I have gone over every single feature on this router and I love it. Excellent signal strength on both bands. WIFI 6 is more than just bandwidth. Buy with confidence.

> 3 dayOriginally purchased at the beginning of 2020, but I was continually had connection drops. I tried both the OEM firmware as well as the Merlin firmware. I wanted it to work because the amount of devices that I have connected (somewhere north of 60 devices). Connection was still spotty, and then COVID hit. Telework was the norm, and I needed to be on a steady connection. I went back to my AC-5300 because I knew that was still working. In the back of my mind, though, I wanted it to work. After reading many forum threads and having some down time with work, I came to the realization that I might need to re-provision my modem (based on a forum thread I read). I did it with self-service which my ISP allowed, and miraculously, the connection has been rock steady. It has worked for me, but Im not sure if this is the fix for most. Stability has been so solid, I purchased some of the wifi 6 extenders that ASUS offers, and they have been solid, as well, in mesh. I would say that I am happy with my purchase finally, but it has been a long drawn out journey.

Greater than one weekBefore purchasing this router I was running an Asus AC88U. To be honest this newer router is more of the same. It’s extremely reliable. Although I don’t believe I’ll see any of the benefits of this router until I get some Wi-Fi 6 devices. I’m giving this router five stars because I still believe it’s one of the best routers on the market. If you already have an Asus AC88U this is not much of an upgrade unless you have Wi-Fi 6 devices or are adding this device to a mesh network with other Asus wireless routers. That’s when this router really shines. By the way Overtime software updates add new features which is something I’m not used to with routers. Usually to get new features you have to buy a new router. I expect it to be no different with the AX88U.

Greater than one weekOne of the most reliable routers that I have used for years. I am a network engineer and the flexibility and the security that this device provides is almost the same as enterprise grade routers. It not without faults. Very change made on the router causes you to loose connectivity because it reboots for almost every change but other than that it’s a really robust product paired with the correct DNS it’s great and the coverage and speed is worth the price. If you are not into networking and security you will need to search online for a lot of how to do but you will get it there . I have over 25 devices hooked up always running and gaming and streaming is a breeze . Great product

> 3 dayI bought 2 of these and hardwired them together. Setting up the second router is easy and it creates a seamless mesh network. No need to make one an access point or to manage settings on two routers.

> 3 dayASUS makes great routers amongst other stuff. But I after trying this router I realize that WiFi 6 is still in it’s infancy. Firmware and hardware still not delivering on it’s promise. Not ASUS fault just think that more time is needed to perfect WiFi 6
