Brother MFC-J1010DW Wireless Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer with Mobile Device and Duplex Printing, Refresh Subscription and Amazon Dash Replenishment Ready

I bought this printer in December and it has worked OK, but lack of black replacement ink (LC-401BK or LC-401XLBK) renders the machine now useless. Neither the manufacturer nor any retailer, including Amazon, has any in stock. Customers have been complaining about this to Brother for the last 3 months with no progress! Please also be aware that the starter cartridge capacity is only 200 pages, BUT they will actually cease printing with 60 pages left! So I actually paid $100 to print 140 pages, or 71.5 cents per page!

I like this printer it prints clear and has easy features like scan and wireless connection. But since i did read the reviews before i bought this printer i decided to get the printer usb cord just in case it disconnects to the wireless and i subscribed to brother ink subscription just incase i run out of ink fast also got the 4 year warranty, these 3 things i m praying make my brother printer experience good

You cannot buy black ink for this print anymore. So its basically use up and buy another printer. Just buy a color laser printer.

A great printer, if you have ink. Black ink is UNAVAILABLE! Anywhere! Even from Brother!

There is no ink refill anywhere in the nation, so I just got this in February and there is no ink anywhere in the nation and I even called brother and looked for compatible zero. Do not buy this printer!

Updated Unable to fine original brother BLK ink cartridge Can fine in sets but do not use the colors enough to purchase. Found a brother original BLK ink cartridge but cost was $70. That’s almost as much as I spent on the printer. Very disappointed because warranty is voided if use anything other than the original brother cartridges.

So Ive had this issue where consumer grade printers last a few months before spitting out so many errors I give up and start drawing forms in crayon. This bad boy hasnt given me so much as an out of paper unless its actually out of paper. No PC load letters either.
