> 3 dayI PURCHASED THIS THRU AMAZON BRAND NEW!, THEY CHARGED $1.00 TO RETURN THE MACHINE. THE REASON NOT TO BUY IS AFTER I PRINTED A SERVICE MANUAL OF 57 PAGES BLACK INK RAN OUT! NOT A BIG DEAL? EXCEPT YOU CAN NOT BUY THE REPLACEMENT INK IN INCLUDING FROM BROTHER THE MANUFACTURER WHEN I DID MORE RESEARCH, I FOUND DOZENS OF OTHER PEOPLE COMPLAINING THE SAME THING, EXCEPT SOME HAD THEIR SAME MODEL MACHINES FOR LONG TIME. I WAS SOLD A MACHINE THAT YOU CAN NOT BUY INK FOR RP

> 3 dayWe purchased this printer in May of 2022. I am pleased to report that we have not yet completely run out of ink, but then again we are the type to print about 2 dozen pages when we buy a printer and then probably 2 pages every three months after. Unfortunately, were low enough on Yellow that the printer will not stop absolutely screaming at us for not having ink. So today I decided I would order up everything to have on hand. The cartridges are effectively out of stock pretty much everywhere. But... This printer is not very noisy while its being used, but every once in a while it will kick on to do a cleaning cycle of itself and it is the loudest thing I think Ive ever heard and it very conveniently decides to do it in the middle of the night, and fills the house with its ridiculous clattering. The software is also largely better than competitors like HP- but unfortunately, like its competitors, Brother will not miss a single opportunity to demand that you subscribe to this, sign up for that, allow them to collect this, and to set up an account for that. I have to say that $99 for the convenience of printing probably about 50 pages at home at any time over the course of 9 months is *almost* worth it for the convenience, and again, Brother is still *miles* ahead of HP in the quality of its offering and software... but thats a really, really, really low bar. The scanner works pretty good. Ultimately, I was never able to figure out how to get this to work with my network due to configuration issues, so I just use a 50 foot USB 3.0 cable in the rare cases that I actually need to use this thing; I cant leave the machine in my office, it is way too loud for it to constantly be going through cleaning cycles at random times when I can leave it in a seldom used room and just run a cable to it. I think its reasonable to expect that if you could get ink, and if you could leave it in a room youre not in when it wants to clean itself, and if you use it more frequently than I do to justify the purchase, youd likely be happy. But I think the inability to stock the ink alone makes this a 1 star product. Im curious as to what they are doing for customers who sign up for auto refills. Look for yourself at the other reviews you will find that MANY reviews reference not being able to find ink only a few months after purchase.

> 3 dayI thought I was replacing another model but I didnt. This printer works great until it runs out of ink. Replacements ink costs more than half the printer! I feel I would have gotten a better printer for the long term.

> 3 dayIt is great for the money but they offer the wrong ink cartridges in options you can order. It uses LC401 series, but they are offering LC3013. I see they are in the process of correcting it now.

> 3 dayI received this printer a week ago. I need to download a driver for it to work on my Mac. For a WHOLE WEEK, the Brother.com website has been down with a message that they are doing a system migration. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE????? They must be completely incompetent. I will return this printer if the website is still down on Monday. This is ridiculous.

> 3 dayFor whatever reason, Amazon does not post Brother printers anywhere near the top, but, as usual, it is an excellent product. The thing people ignore are the cartridge replacements are cheap (not w HP)! This is a five out of five and I have been through a million printers. The set up including wireless was a simple (not w HP). The print speed was shockingly fast in ink conserving mode. It even has a document feeder. Its almost hard to believe it was only $80

> 3 dayI would say Im adept at most printers but in no way shape or form am I an expert. I used to work for Staples so I knew one of the printers I wanted to acquire would be Brother. Theyre one of the best when concerning ink conservation as well as being great at all-in-one printers. With most of the models you get a good amount of features at the price its on the market for. I feel like I lucked out with this printer model. Its super simple to set up, my PC did the majority of the work for me (albeit I did have a little trouble getting my PC to recognize the new printer) Couldnt be happier with this device. Gets the job done, rather sufficient with ink and its not entirely that loud so big plus.

> 3 dayThe printer worked well overall, but if you cant find black ink, what use is it?!?! Unbelievable that this model is still being sold when Brother knows that they cant support it. Buyer be ware!!

> 3 dayPrinter is nice. Prints are nice. You’ll run out of ink after 100 4x6 photos and it’s impossible to change the cartridges without breaking the housing. Better off going to Bartells. I wake my money back
