Really like this - simple, easy setup and it sleeps nicely. I dont have to wake it up like my Epson printer which Im going to just give away. This one is very quiet, easy to configure. I have it wifi connected and its awesome. Brother makes good printers. UPDATE after a few months: I bought this mostly for scanning and that interface works well and zero jams. However Ive printed perhaps 20-30 pages, mostly B & W, and its saying the yellow is completely out, the other 2 colors are 95% empty which is the same for the black. If I bought this as a printer Id probably toss it since whatever they use to compute the remaining ink levels is way off, or aggressively designed to make you buy more ink. So as a Scanner - great - as a printer, this would get expensive very fast with ink refills. Heres another annoyance. Since yellow is out, I get a window that says that even though yellow is empty, I can change to B&W only in my settings and keep printing. This worked once. Then 3 weeks later Same message, but it would NOT print. Turns out theres a setting that, when the color ink runs out, you have only 30 days to print B&W only, then it just wont let you print anything. Who made up this stupid rule ? I heard that powering off, then on, the printer resets the annoying 30 day timer and that worked. UPDATE #2 - This thing unnecessarily gobbles ink levels. I put new ink in the Magenta and Yellow just 2 weeks ago. Since then, Ive changed my default printer settings to B&W Only. Much to my dismay, despite this, the levels of the Magenta and Yellow have gone down to about 85% !?!?!? Id even switched the remaining page settings to usage-based when I switched out the old cartridges. Despite my being 100 positive that not a single color page has been printed, theres some fake computation going on thats reducing the capacity of the color cartridges. This is extremely bothersome and annoying, especially since I dont print very often.

The printer itself works fine. No issues there. However, now that I’ve run out of black ink, there isn’t a single black ink cartridge to be purchased in the United States. There are no aftermarket or refillable cartridges anywhere either. Buying this means you will be extorted into signing up for their expensive ink subscription. Buy something you can refill.

I have looked at wireless printers, read a million reviews and an so happy with my purchase! Got it today, plugged it in and set up wireless. It’s so easy and self explanatory. Printing from my iPhone and iPad is so nice! I got it for 99.00 and it’s a great deal. If you’re somewhat tech savvy you’ll have no problems.

I liked this printer a lot when I purchased 2 months ago- ink runs out fast however. Cartridges are small. Whatever no big deal- BUT when I go to buy more it’s out of stock EVERYWHERE!! For weeks now with no estimated restock date and no customer service call options! Now I’m spending $35 printing at staples bc I can’t use my brand new printer for WEEKS !!! unacceptable

I cant find black ink to purchase. Printer is usless to me. Even the brother online site does not have it

I already had this printer, but it would no longer recognize magenta ink, so since I HAD a TON of ink, I just decided to get a new one. BUT of course, now it takes a completely new ink cartridge bc F me. So all the old ink and the printer into the trash. At least this new one prints much faster.

The printer is not worth the money. It always jams. The ink is gobbled up. Does not sync with up to date software. Save your money.

Super easy to use, great quality print, love the wireless ability. I print mostly calendars and lists and since my son has been in school it’s been so nice to copy writing practice and coloring pages. Very happy with this purchase.

no user friendly. when i first log on it was not set up for wifi i had to take to geek squad for correction

Ive got 2 Brother printers and I think they are the best. I really like the way the ink cartridges are installed and removed. Paper input tray is also easy to load. They are easy to setup and connect on-line. I am happy with the print quality.
