This kit did a great job of setting new threads for the insert and the insert went in quite well...wish I could show a finished product shot, but Im not taking that plug out for another few years, lol.

> 24 hourDont waste your money buying any other kit. If your trying to figure out which kit you need for your triton pull a plug and look at the spark plug. If the threads are really long than you need the 3 valve kit. If your spark plugs threads are normal length sp413 motorcraft plugs, then this is the right kit. This kit does way more than other kits. It has a guide that fits in the hole that will ensure the drill and tap are done correctly. creates more threads unlike other kits making the repair stronger than before it broke. You will need a few tools and supplies to use the kit Special tools Air ratchet and 1/2 socket to run the drill and tap. Bore camera to inspect the cylinder. A modified air blower. I just use a piece of brake line attached to the blower so I can get deep into the cylinder to blow out metal shavings. 18mm socket and ratchet to turn the crank. ft lbs torque wrench to torque the inserts and plug down 17 ft-lbs Supplies antiseize for the spark plugs before threading them into the insert. high temp red lock tight to spread over the inserts outside threads. dielectric grease for the spark plug boot. Spark plug, and coil to replace the plug that blow out.

> 24 hourThis saved me so much money and time on my 5.4L Triton. The kit is very well made and easy to use. They say to use a good quality air ratchet. They really mean a very nice, expensive one. I dont have one such tool but was able to use a regular ratchet for the thread cutting tool. You have to be careful not to get off center, but it will work. The included video was helpful and there are lots of videos on YouTube. Watch them. It helps to see someone else do it.

> 24 hourFound this just in time. It was 1500 to get new heads, 5k to get a new car, or these to get back up and running. White boys broke these days, so the cheaper option saved me alot of money. Exactly as described. Easy enough to use. The kit that is. Gettting into some of the cyclenders in the back are a pain. But worth the extra effort to keep from going to the shop

> 24 hourThe guide for the bits was defective and it wouldnt allow the bits to spin freely in it. Emailed Calvan about it and sent the defective guide back and they sent me a new one with no problems! This kit worked great and I got my truck back on the road!

> 24 hourWorks as intended, it doesn’t have any alloy as it’s highly magnetic (Quick dirty way to check for alloy). This product is better than a heli-coil style for the Triton engine. Sits better and captures more threads. I didn’t use the included instructions as I followed an on line video a mechanic made some time ago. His example is the best I found. Will keep using as needed.

> 24 hourWorked exactly as described. Excellent product and easy to use (almost too easy). It took me 45 min just triple check that the piston was at the bottom of the cylinder before I used these tools. Then 10 min to bore the hole and re-thread for new. The only downside to this tool is that it was rather expensive (for my one time job). But given I had no problems, it was worth it.
