It is worth every penny! Only thing. Takes a little longer then 45min. I feel took a couple of hours to do it right, I hope. Clean up sucked! Thats what takes time. To get all the little chips out. I guess Ill find out how I did later down the road. It did through a missfire code after it was all done. Cleared code and Ill drive it to work tomorrow. Hope it is good.

This is by far the best insert on the market. Just make sure the threads are smooth before using. Simple and easy to use. Great product!

Excellent tool. Super easy to use. Rethreaded cylinder 1 on a 4.6l Town Car in under 1 hour. The kits reamer and threader are made to last. The inserts are robust and should last the life of the motor. For what the kit offers I believe this to be over priced. However, other kits of this caliber are double in price. So, I guess there is a savings. It also provides an almost idiot proof job with the guide. All in all, I can see this kit costing $50 less just by parts alone. It all depends on how much you are willing to pay for your time, no aggravation, and peace of mind.

Just as advertised. Fixed an 02 F-250 5.4L in 2 hours with most of the time spent getting the spark plug and coil. Awesome product with great instructions.

It comes with 8 so I did the 4 hard ones to get to and saving the rest for the other side if needed.

You have a 2v Ford modular? You need this kit. Grab your wallet and just buy it already.

Would give this a 5 but the air hose connection did not fit my quick disconnect.

this worked great. did get a endoscope for 12 bucks to see in the chamber. but in all, im back on the road with no problems

Right tool for the job

Works as intended, it doesn’t have any alloy as it’s highly magnetic (Quick dirty way to check for alloy). This product is better than a heli-coil style for the Triton engine. Sits better and captures more threads. I didn’t use the included instructions as I followed an on line video a mechanic made some time ago. His example is the best I found. Will keep using as needed.
