Greater than one weekI was worried they made it sound easier than it would be. After getting my tools together it took me about 45 minutes to put an insert it. I believe this is the best kit on the market. I saved myself a good chunk of money with it.

> 3 dayThis kit worked great on my 99 Expedition. I waited for the jb weld to cure for 24 hours. I ran it for about 3 hours and it worked great. Bad news is while I was driving I heard a bang then another bang, it was not the kit but number 4 blew out this time it looks impossible to repair with the Calvan 38900. It is way in the back and my ratchet will not fit.

> 3 dayThis is way easier to use than expected. I did cylinder 7 on my 5.4 2v in about an hour. Have put about 20k miles on it ane have nothing but great things to say about this product. This is infinitely better than heli-coils.

Greater than one weekGreat kit! I originally installed the Stanley helicoil and it failed after 9 months in my 4.6l Ford. Saw YouTube videos about this product which was praised. Following the included instructions and video instructions, the installation went flawlessly. This is a well designed and thought out repair for the Ford 4.6l engine which is famous for spitting out spark plugs. I used this for a 2008 Ford E150 with 4.6l engine. If your engine has blown a plug, buy this kit for a permanent repair!

> 3 dayI just used this kit on a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. One plug on the passenger side had blown out previously and I used a Dorman kit to cheaply repair it. The dorman insert didnt last as long as I had hoped and it soon began to make the tell tale ticking noise of compression blowing by the threads. Any hoo.....Got the kit and the loctite 266. I took the fuel rail off to make more room. Long story short, the new threads went in without a hiccup. I picked up a USB endoscope and ran it down the plug chute and checked them, there were many more nice new threads than the 4 that Ford placed there. New insert and spark plug went in snugly. Note: Make sure you keep going till it bottoms out. I thought at one point dont strip these threads out or you are screwed.. and I actually stopped, scared I would rip them all out and I convinced myself (for a few minutes) that I had seated it properly. I took a step back and figured there was no way that I was gonna rip out all those threads with the torque my arm was giving it, so I kept going wondering the whole time how much a new head was gonna cost me. Then BAM, it stopped solid. Started the car the the purr of all 8 cylinders firing in line. I verified with my bluetooth OBDII reader, that there were no more misfires. Happy Days.

> 3 dayGuys I had to grind down a flat side on the guide to get it to fit properly in the sparkplug well. Once I figure that out installation wasn’t an issue-2006-F150-2v 4.6V8 Repair was on the passenger side rear plug.

18-04-2025I was really afraid to drill into my heads but was out of options. This kit saved me from needing to buy an engine or a new car. I had already used that garbage sparkplug attachment thing they sell at AutoZone twice. Each time it only lasted a couple weeks The rubber ball thing worked perfectly for making sure the cylinder was at bottom dead center. I got lucky on the 1st try. My advice - watch several videos of mechanics using this kit. Understand every part of what you need and what you need to do.
