> 24 hourThis is really a good deal. I blew out a spark plug on a 2000 ford f250 Super Duty with the 5.4 triton 2 valve engine. I was kind of hesitant to try this. But for the money to have it done, I tried it. I am so glad. I followed the instructions(You Tube) and took my time. I asked a mechanic friend about it and he said he has used this kit to replace several units on different trucks and has never had any return problems. I am so happy I bought this.

> 24 hourThis is SO easy to use and if you follow the instructions to the letter, man does it save you thousands both in time and labor. After I did my repairs I have now put on at least 3 thousand miles on the truck and NO ISSUES. I highly recommend this for the DIYer. Heck, the kit paid for itself a few friends of mine ended up with the same issues and paid me to fix it for them. By the time they paid me, I could easily purchase this kit 3 times over. So do I recommend this product YES would i purchase it again YES.

> 24 hourI hate that I needed this kit, but it works flawlessly. I do wish it came with a thin air blower to use to clean out the shavings from the cylinder however!

> 24 hourAt around 100k miles our Ford E350 started popping out spark plugs. This kit worked great to repair the issue. The reamer or drill bit worked great, the tap was machined well and sharp. All 8 inserts had good threads. The hose fitting is still an issue as others have stated...I needed to modify mine so I could use it with my air hose....just some simple supplies from Oreilly. Instructions are good but not perfect. My kit had the e clip. (I bought some e clips just in case...5/8 I believe). Vans are a PITA to work on...but the CalVan kit was not a PITA. The retail price is stupid but the $230 or so I paid for this on the evil jungle website was worth it. You need: 1. a quality air or battery ratchet (I did a bunch of research and settled on a battery one from AC Delco, it was reasonably priced and has good torque). 2. JB weld (not the fast setting). 3. Red, heat resistant thread lock. 4. A long blow/air gun that can be bent to fit down into the cylinder to blow the shavings out. 5. A decent bore scope. I also bought a 3/4 by 16 TPI nut to verify that my inserts had good threads. Removing the fuel rail, heater hoses, emissions components, fan clutch etc. was more work than actually drilling, tapping and installing the inserts. I bought extra inserts when I ordered this kit in case any had bad threads. I FULLY expect that this is a permanent solution. I easily saved 2/3 if not 3/4 the cost of having inserts installed by a shop in all 8 plug wells...and I have some new tools to keep.

> 24 hourMy truck blew a spark plug on cylinder No. 4 and I really thought I was going to have to get my engine rebuilt. I found this kit and watched a couple of videos on it, and thought to myself, why not... whats the worst that could happen? I followed the instructions and completed each step listed in the kit, and low and behold it worked! My truck is running again! It is super important to make sure you follow each step and keep the cylinder cleaned out when making this repair, but its a lot better than buying a new engine or taking it to the shop to be repaired.

> 24 hourI was excited to get the kit and to work on my ford but when I opened the kit there was no c clamp to clip to the rethreader which was a huge let down you figure you spend the money for the right parts. you would expect to get every part but not in their case I guess… huge let down won’t purchase again I’ll go somewhere else for sure!!!!

> 24 hourThe reamer/drill bit with the stop works great, stops where it should. The tap, works great, stops where it should. The cork thing to verify the valves are closed, also works great. Get a air gun blow nozzle deal from harbor freight for like 3-4 bucks and you have everything you need. The bit of trouble i ran into was that my NGK spark plug apparently doesnt seat in the insert fully - a bit too wide. While trying to force it in there in panic mode so that the red threadlocker doesnt weld the thing forever, I tightened it a wee too much... like 100 ft -lbs too much, and the insert cracked, though I believe only the very top cracked. To my surprise, it still runs just fine. Only downside is the spark plug is still not seated all the way down to factory level (I may need a different spark plug, maybe a motorcraft?) and thus the coil is sticking out a bit too much - doesnt sit right above the hold down bolt like the rest of the coils. Its nice to know those inserts make the holes soooo much stronger - 100 ft lbs into a stock thread head is not gonna go over well... The tool is pricey especially if you only have to do 1; but it does take most of the guess work out of it, and is of great quality overall. Other thoughts: When you use the borescope camera and see all of those shavings inside your cylinder, you will wonder if youre ever gonna get those back out... they fly like confetti with a big long air nozzle!
