> 24 hourThis does work. I am not a computer person and it took me days to figure it out. The instructions online are different than the instructions in the package and the information in the Q&A help is different than both of those. I feel this would be 4 stars if the instructions were cleaned up. Now that Ive got my video, Im trying to figure out how to edit it. That seems just as challenging. It might be easier to locate other software for that. :(

> 24 hourWorks well and easily on Windows 10. There is no Automatic Stop, but you can overestimate the runtime and set a time limit for recording. That works good enough since there is a built in editor that you can use to cut off the end or any in between sections. Definitely past its prime though, as the last New VHS device was discontinued in 2016 and this software supports XP! -1 Star for being so expensive considering its too young to be vintage but old enough to be effectively obsolete on modern OS.

> 24 hourSet it up to transfer VCR over to DVD as all my VCR tapes are at the end of their lifes. Set up is really easy, no issues but I could not get a good burn to DVD on my computer. Tried everything I could think of with no success. Finally reached out to tech support. Very quick replies and over the course of a couple of days we were able to get the unit to burn to my DVD. Needed a slower burn rate which makes no sense to me but it worked. Now the issue is the quality of the burn. There is rather noticeable decrease in clarity. I give high marks to their tech support, top notch. Just be aware that you might not - your mileage may vary compared to mine - get the clarity that you would expect with this unit.

> 24 hourI bought this not to convert VHS to DVD, but to be able to record the output of a Roku to the hard disk of my PC (in standard definition). To do so, I also bought a Tendak HDMI to 3RCA Converter

> 24 hourThis works! And it doesnt require a computer science degree! The editing function could use some work - not super intuitive.

> 24 hourWas an easy plug and use. Just downloaded the software. It was actually harder to find a working vcr to plug in to this than it was to use. Recording my memories to my computer for safekeeping

> 24 hourI used this product to transfer 24 VHS family tapes to DVD. The hardware and software worked really well and I found the editing functionality to be very effective and easy to use. The quality of my DVDs seems to match the quality of my tape recordings; good sound and visuals. I did find that it worked best if I kept my file downloads to something less than 60 minutes as I ran into some editing issues when I exceeded 60 minutes (could be a limitation of my system and not this product). It also seemed to work best for me if I edited from the beginning of the file and worked to the end. I would definately buy this product again and will recommend it to others.

> 24 hourI normally never give a negative review of anything I buy from Amazon, this is an exception. The program would not install and work on a Alienware computer with Windows 7. Their tech support (if you want to call it that) said my computer was too over powered for their program to work. Never heard that excuse before. I was due for a new laptop so bought one with Windows 10. I was able to get the program working on that, but the picture and sound was terrible!!. I installed a SSD in the computer and could do a DVD that was watchable, but still not good. I come to that conclusion by plugging the VCR right into a TV, played it that way and compared the two. Now to the next problem. The DVDs I make wont play on a newer DVD/Blu-ray player, only the older straight DVD player. I find it very strange that you can only get tech support by email?, but I emailed them with that problem. Same old song and dance, they said record at a slower speed, tried that and the picture and sound is terrible so I am giving up on this program and buying something that works and at least has a phone number a person can call for support. If you have a Overpowered Computer and a Blu-ray player, stay clear of this program, its just a waste of time and money.
