> 3 dayWorks well and easily on Windows 10. There is no Automatic Stop, but you can overestimate the runtime and set a time limit for recording. That works good enough since there is a built in editor that you can use to cut off the end or any in between sections. Definitely past its prime though, as the last New VHS device was discontinued in 2016 and this software supports XP! -1 Star for being so expensive considering its too young to be vintage but old enough to be effectively obsolete on modern OS.

> 3 dayI was able to accomplish what I needed to. Its not a bad device, but the software is a little dated. With the pricing of the device Im betting there isnt a lot of development (which is completely understandable). I like the size of the device in contrast to other units Ive held/used in the past--its very compact.

> 3 dayBUYER PLEASE BEWARE!!! Even with some bad reviews, I took a chance on this product. Believe me when I say other bad reviews are truthful. I installed the software for this product from the CD onto my Windows 10 laptop. I was connected wirelessly to the internet while I downloaded the software. As soon as the software downloaded, I lost my wireless internet connection. I know quite a bit about computers but not enough to get my wireless internet connection back, so I had to restore my computer back to original to get my wireless connection back, it messed up my computer in multiple ways. I did get a quick response from tech support, but twice they told me their software had nothing to do with my internet connection. I know it there was no problems with my computer, before I installed the software, and immediately after the install I had all kinds of problems with my computer. I am tech savvy enough to know that happened, but somehow it messed up my wireless adapter. Ive had the laptop for many years and never had a problem with the wireless connection until I installed the software. I am returning the product to get my money back, but I cannot get the time it will take me to get by computer back to where it was before I had to reset it.

> 3 dayWorks as advertised to convert your old VHS tapes (you need a VHS player) to digital format. The problem is, the resolution cant be any better than the original used to record the material. By todays standards, HQ VHS sucks. Id still use it to save family recordings but Ive thrown away my James Bond movies stored on tape.

Greater than one weekThis product works great! Out of the box I read the easy instructions and was able to transfer videos effortlessly. So far I have transferred about twenty VHS tapes to digital files. There are some color changes and color bleeding but this may be due to the 30+ year old video tapes or maybe the VCR that I am using. Are they the quality of new digital movies? Absolutely not. But the movies are viewable and I have saved quite a bit of money doing it myself and not sending the tapes out to be converted.

> 3 dayThe USB device seems to be pretty good, but the VHS2DVD Wizard software leaves a lot to be desired and is very buggy. On one of my computers, the preview screen was very small and was truncated on one side so that I could not see the entire picture that was being displayed by the video tape player. I contacted support for the product and they promptly replied that I should lower my screen resolution and possibly move the application window to the far left of my screen. Changing the resolution had no effect but moving the window to the left did cause the entire video to be displayed although still very small. Both the editor and the dvd burner parts of the software and constantly hanging up when certain things are done. The software also cutoff the first 15 to 20 minutes of my capture for no apparent reason. Was able to use the USB device with other capture software that I have in order to transfer my VHS tapes to DVD. Would really not recommend this product to anyone.

Greater than one weekI used this product to transfer 24 VHS family tapes to DVD. The hardware and software worked really well and I found the editing functionality to be very effective and easy to use. The quality of my DVDs seems to match the quality of my tape recordings; good sound and visuals. I did find that it worked best if I kept my file downloads to something less than 60 minutes as I ran into some editing issues when I exceeded 60 minutes (could be a limitation of my system and not this product). It also seemed to work best for me if I edited from the beginning of the file and worked to the end. I would definately buy this product again and will recommend it to others.

> 3 dayWorks great as intended. I used it to convert 30 year old VHS tapes to digital format. The video capture works well and the DVD creating software is very straight forward. The whole process can be accomplished with a few clicks. However, it is a low key program. You would be better off using a more robust software such as Roxio DVD Creator.

> 3 dayI had 40+ years of 8mm film converted to VHS years ago. No sound. Time to convert the VHS to DVD before it degrades too much. Instructions were easy to follow and the DVD I created plays perfectly with resolution equal to the quality of the VHS. All to be expected. Someone indicated in their review they were unhappy they could not expand the work screen to full screen. True, but it doesnt bother me at all. This was half the price of a product I purchased that didnt work. I cant speak to how well it edits or records with sound but for my purposes, I am 100% happy with this product. I use Windows 10.
