I am very happy I chose this brand of VHS to DVD converters. The instructions made it easy to install. I did have one issue so I contacted the seller and had an answer just a couple hours later. It was an easy fix. My issue was an access denied error message. By making sure both my webcam and microphone were available to apps, the issue was resolved. Tech support responded the same day, within just an hour or so of me sending in the support ticket with easy to follow instructions to resolve the problem. Would highly recommend for transferring family VHS tapes to DVD.

Over the past few years, Ive been putting our old home VHS movies on DVDs and giving them as gifts to relatives at Christmas. The first year I did it, I paid someone to transfer it over....and it cost me $20/movie. In an effort to save money, I researched and settled on ClearClick. It works well, but it does take a long time to transfer over video. Even though its not the fastest, were happy with how it works and love being able to convert tapes to DVDs on our own.

I have converted about 20 VHS videos so far with very little trouble. I have more VHS and others yet to go! It has stopped occasionally but a simple restart fixes it. It is not a video editor although it has some capability to crop, but for simply getting video from tape to digital, its super simple. I thought about just sending all the tapes to a service for transfer to digital, but I can get more value out of doing it this way, and I can see what I have. Some of the tapes only have a little bit of video, some I dont care about, so I now know what I have and how to put it together. Ill use a different video editing software for that, but the library I now have of all the old stuff is awesome. Using Windows10.

Worked great for VHS tapes/Player, but it was unable to convert Sony Hi 8 video. Good Tech support as they admitted that their video chip could not convert the Sony signal correctly. If your just doing VHS this is a great tool. (note: Your computer needs to be newer or editing will be a chore)

Im using Windows 10. Took me a couple tries to figure things out. Followed the instructions as written. When you plug in the converter to the usb, it takes a very, very long time. I have found I need to close and restart the software for it to recognize the device. For Win10, it defaults to the My Videos folder. Thats fine but to look at the default path, it looks like its saving in My Documents, not Videos. My system is too jerky to use direct to dvd. Once I figured out where it was saving, the video looks pretty good for 25-30 year old vhs tapes. Havent tried the video editor yet. All in all, Im pleased now that I know what Im doing.

This is very simple device, almost plug-n-play. Following the simple setup, it worked 1st time right out of the box. This is great value for the money. If you just want basic copying and burning with a very few adjustments, this is the way to go. Like using Paint vs. Photoshop. Had a problem 2nd time tried using, emailed their customer service. They replied back next day and worked with me to resolve problem. OUTSTANDING customer service. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Most times I don’t leave a review but this product definitely deserves 5 stars all around. A long put off project to digitize all of those home movies that got thrown in a drawer finally got done. The software is easy to use and a very nice feature is that you can set the capture time so you don’t have to babysit. I contacted tech support the first time because my laptop didn’t have a hard drive. They were quick to respond with a link. Contacted them again when after 36 tapes I was getting an error message. It was my fault because I played with the windows 10 microphone settings. They recognized the error message and replied an hour later with simple instructions to remedy the problem. I like it so much I’m going to investigate the other products they sell.
